Uusi Lahti is a free newspaper published in Lahti, Finland, and distributed in Lahti and nearby communities. It is delivered on Wednesdays and Saturdays. [2] The current editor-in-chief is Tommi Berg, who succeeded Kari Naskinen in 2008. Uusi Lahti was the best citymagazine in Finland in 2014. [3]
Riihimäki is a town and municipality in the south of Finland, about 69 kilometres (43 mi) north of Helsinki and 109 kilometres southeast of Tampere. An important railway junction is located in Riihimäki, since railway tracks from Riihimäki lead to Helsinki, Tampere and Lahti. Several businesses also operate in Riihimäki. He is also known for his work as the bass guitarist in Stratovarius. Porra is a fourth generation musician, and the great-grandson of famous Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.
The Lahti Symphony Orchestra is a Finnish orchestra, based in the city of Lahti. The orchestra is resident at the Sibelius Hall. The orchestra was founded in 1910, and placed under the control of the Lahti municipality in 1949.
Anne Louhelainen is a member of the parliament of Finland, elected 17 April 2011. She is the second chairman of the municipal council of Hollola, secretary and the treasurer of the Tavastia district of the True Finns. On 13 June 2017, Louhelainen and 19 others left the Finns Party parliamentary group to found the New Alternative parliamentary group.

His father Sami Jeskanen moved from Lahti, Finland to the United States, where he currently teaches Canadian Studies at the State University of New York Plattsburgh. Tristan Jeskanen himself lived for some time at a younger age in Finland. He currently resides in Lahti, Finland.

Lahti Basketball is a Finnish basketball club based in Lahti. It plays in the Korisliiga, the highest tier league in Finland. A phoenix club, the club was established in 2015 as a successor of Namika Lahti. Martin Mustonen and Kari Härkönen, also active with Namika, founded the club in August. Finnish international Vesa Mäkäläinen transferred from Namika to the new club.
