Nandamuri Balakrishna, widely known as Balakrishna and Balayya is an Indian actor, producer and politician known for his works in Telugu cinema. Balakrishna is an elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Hindupuram constituency since 2014. The sixth son of veteran actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao, Balakrishna made his debut as a child artist at the age of 14 with the film Tatamma Kala (1974). Telugu cinema, also known as Tollywood, is the segment of Indian cinema dedicated to the production of motion pictures in the Telugu language, widely spoken in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Telugu cinema is based in Film Nagar, Hyderabad. As of 2021, Telugu cinema is the largest film industry in India in terms of box-office. Raghava Lawrence is an Indian dance choreographer, director and actor known for his works primarily in Tamil cinema. Suresh Babu on Suresh Productions banner. Krishnam Raju, Suman, Paruchuri Venkateswara Rao, Ravi Babu, Brahmanandam, Krishna Mohan, Kakarala, Sujatha, Meena Kumari, and Jyothi play supporting roles in this film.
Sakshi Shivanand is an Indian actress, who has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films. Her most notable work is Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai which was directed by Anubhav Sinha and co-starred Priyanshu Chatterjee, Om Puri and Farida Jalal. The film stars Uday Kiran and Anita while Sunil, Banerjee, Tanikella Bharani, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam, and Telangana Shakuntala play the supporting roles. This is the official debut film of Anita Hassanandani.
Chiranjeevi is an Indian actor and producer who works predominantly in Telugu cinema. He has also appeared in Hindi, Tamil and Kannada films. He made his acting debut in 1978, with the film Punadhirallu. However, Pranam Khareedu was released earlier at the box office. Known for his break dancing skills, Chiranjeevi has starred in more than 150 feature films. He rose to stardom after playing the lead in the action film Khaidi (1983). His 1987 film Swayamkrushi premiered at the Moscow International Film Festival. He co-produced Rudraveena (1988), which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. In a film career spanning forty-five years, he has won four state Nandi Awards and nine Filmfare Awards South.
Anandam (transl. Happiness) is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language romance film, directed by Srinu Vaitla and starring Akash and Rekha in the lead roles. The music of the film was composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film was sensational hit at box office and ran for 200 days in two centers, 175 days in two centers and 100 days in all major centers. It was a commercial and critical success of the time. This film made Akash an overnight star of the Telugu film industry. The film was remade in Kannada as Ananda, in Tamil as Inidhu Inidhu Kaadhal Inidhu, both versions being produced by Ramoji Rao, and in Hindi as Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge.
Manasantha Nuvve is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by V. N. Aditya. This film stars Uday Kiran and Reema Sen in the lead roles. The film was written and produced by M. S. Raju and had music composed by R. P. Patnaik. The film was a Blockbuster like Uday Kiran's previous films Chitram (2000) and Nuvvu Nenu (2001). It was one of the biggest hits of 2001 in Telugu Cinema.
Kalusukovalani is a 2002 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film directed by R. Raghuraj and written by Vakkantham Vamsi. The film stars Uday Kiran, Gajala and Prathyusha. The film also marks Prathyusha's final film, just before her untimely demise; she died exactly two weeks, after the film's release. Kalusukovalani was an average grosser at the box-office. The film was remade by Raghuraj in Tamil as Ice (2003).
Rainbow is a 2008 Indian Telugu-language romantic drama film directed by V. N. Aditya and starring Rahul, Sonal Chauhan, and Sindhu Menon. The film released to negative reviews from critics.
