Deshamanya Amaratunga Arachige Maurice Dias,, popularly known by his mononym Chitrasena, was a Sri Lankan dancer, internationally known for his work in establishing a modern Sri Lankan tradition of dance and popularizing traditional Sri Lankan dance forms worldwide. He was awarded the Deshamanya award by the Sri Lankan government in 1998. He later moved to India to study other dance forms.

The Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital is a medical school located in Bangkok, Thailand. The faculty has its origin as a medical college, previously known as BMA Medical College & Vajira Hospital. The school is run in collaboration with Vajira Hospital, Mahidol University and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Medical Department. The faculty has become a part of the newly established Navamindradhiraj University. The Faculty of Medicine Vajira Hospital was an affiliated college of Mahidol University between 1985 and 2011.

Composed by Gunadasa Kapuge, "Made Lagina Tharawan" from the soundtrack of the play became her most successful single.
Maharaja Ajasath is a 2015 Sri Lankan Sinhala epic biographical film directed by Sanath Abeysekara and produced by Sunil T. Fernando for Sunil T. Films. It stars Jeevan Kumaratunga, Gayan Wikramathilake, and Palitha Silva in lead roles along with Sabeetha Perera and Hashini Gonagala. Music co-composed by Rohana Weerasinghe and Ranga Dassanayaka. A special screening was taken place prior to original screening at Tharangani Cinema Hall, at National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka for Buddhist Monks.
The 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament is the 1st season of the official Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Sri Lanka. 15 teams in total, five representing four provinces of Sri Lanka and a Sri Lanka Schools XI team participating in the competition. The competition began on 17 August 2004, when Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club played the Police Sports Club at Colts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo.
In August 2019 President of Sri Lanka Maithripala Sirisena awarded national honours to 70 individuals for distinguished services. The awards ceremony was held on 19 August 2019 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall in Colombo.

Tanaweera Achchige Vajira Hemantha Kumara Ranaweera was a Sri Lankan cricketer. He played in 96 first-class matches for the Sri Lanka Police Sports Club between 1995 and 2007, taking more than 250 wickets, and he also spent time as the team's captain. He made his Twenty20 debut on 17 August 2004, for Sri Lanka Police Sports Club in the 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament. In the Sri Lankan police force, he reached the rank of chief inspector.
Deshamanya Vajira Chitrasena was a Sri Lankan traditional dancer, choreographer and teacher. Vajira is regarded as Sri Lanka's first prima ballerina. She is the first Sri Lankan woman to practise the traditional Kandyan dance which was traditionally performed only by men. Vajira is credited with creating brand for a female style of Kandyan dancing and setting the tone for women to become ritual dancers. She was married to Chitrasena who was a well known legendary dancer and dance guru.
Leonie Ayuntha Weerasinghe, known popularly as Leonie Kotalawala, was an actress in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television. In a career spanned more than seven decades, Kotalawala is best known for becoming the first Sri Lankan stage actress to win the 1962 Best Actress Award for her performance in the play Mehew Lokaya.
