Val Hale

Val Hale (born 1957) is an American journalist and sports director. In 2014, he was appointed by Utah Governor Gary R. Herbert as executive director of the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED), and is currently serving in this role promoting state growth in business, tourism and film.

Hale was raised in Orem, Utah graduating from Orem High School. He attended BYU where he received his bachelor's degree (Public Relations, 1981) and his master's degree (Communications, 1987). He worked as a reporter (1981–82) and sports columnist (2005–06) and business columnist (2012–14) for the Provo Daily Herald . He later worked at BYU in marketing, fundraising, media relations and later as men's Athletic Director of BYU from 1999 to 2004. From 2002 to 2004, he served on the NCAA Men's Golf Committee and as chair of that committee in 2003–04.

After he left BYU in 2004, he became Assistant Vice President of External Affairs at Utah Valley State College (now Utah Valley University) (UVU) until 2006. He went on to serve at UVU as vice president, Advancement (2006–10) and Vice President, University Relations (2010–12). From 2012 to 2014, he served as president and CEO of the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce. In August 2014, he was appointed in his current role as executive director, GOED.

The Utah Valley Wolverines represent Utah Valley University in NCAA DI collegiate athletics and sponsor 16 sporting programs. The Wolverines participate in the Western Athletic Conference. The Utah Valley Wolverines men's basketball team is a team that represents Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, United States. The team is currently coached by Todd Phillips. The school's team currently competes in the Western Athletic Conference of NCAA Division I college basketball. Its home games are played in the UCCU Center on the school's Orem, Utah campus. The Wolverines have yet to appear in the NCAA tournament since moving to Division I. The Wolverines joined the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in 2013 as part of the early-2010s NCAA conference realignment.

Robert Christopher "Bob" Gay has been a general authority of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 2012. Utah Valley Express, also known as UVX, is a bus rapid transit (BRT) line in central Utah County, Utah, United States. The line is operated by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and runs between southwest Orem to south central Provo by way of Utah Valley University (UVU) and Brigham Young University (BYU). It began service with a soft opening on August 13, 2018, while the station platforms were being finished and was formally opened on January 9, 2019. It is the second of several BRT lines that UTA has or is planning in Utah County and the Salt Lake Valley.

Brent Ferrin Ashworth is an American historical document dealer who specializes in Mormon history. He has assisted the Glenn Beck organization, the LDS Church History Library, Brigham Young University (BYU) Library Special Collections, the Utah Valley University (UVU) Library Special Collections, State History Division, including the Utah State Archives and other major institutions. He has recently assisted Beck with his first three history museums, starting with "Man in the Moon" at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City, over the July 4th holiday in 2013, and the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Kennedy Assassination in conjunction with the Mercury One Convention at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, Texas, in November 2013. Ashworth has donated many books and other items in his collection to the LDS Church and his items have been displayed at the Crandall Historical Printing Museum in Provo, Utah.
