Valentina Albanese (born 27 March 1974) is an Italian racing driver, [1] the winner of the 2015 Italian Tourism Endurance Championship and the 2015 TCR Italy Touring Car Championship. [2]

Albanese began her career in motorsport in 1996. From 2008, she began racing at a professional level by participating in the Fun Cup Italia. Autosprint magazine awarded her in 2010 and 2015 with the gold helmet as the best female driver. Since 2016, she has been the sporting director of Porsche in Italy. [3] [4]

The 2016 Italian Touring Car Championship is the second season of the ITCC to run under TCR regulations and the 30th season since a national touring car series was revived in 1987 as the Campionato Italiano Turismo. Starting from this year, the championship takes place of Campionato Italiano Turismo Endurance and it will be divided into TCR and TCS class. The latter will include cars between 1.400 and 2.000cc, nearer to the production series.
