Valentina Medina, aka Iere (May 6, 1933 - April 23, 2011), [1] [2] born in Mount Pleasant, Arima, was the fifth Carib Queen since the introduction of the title in 1875. [3]

On 26 March 2000, Valentina Medina, aged 66, of Mausica Lands, Arima, Trinidad, was named Carib Queen for life, at an election at the Santa Rosa Carib Community Centre in Arima. Medina, the fifth Queen, was named as the successor after Justa Werges, queen for the previous 11 years, died in January 2000. [4] Medina was installed as Queen on May 6, 2000. [5]

Though she embraced the Carib way of life since childhood, after her marriage at 18 in 1952 to John Medina, she was called on by then Queen (Edith Martinez) to be more active in traditional Carib life. She was named queen for a day three different times and her husband was named king for the day as well.

The history of the TT Pro League has its roots spanning back to the 1970s and 1980s when Trinidad and Tobago experienced an upswing in support for its domestic football. Several of the national team players featured for Defence Force during its dominance of the National League, which included the Teteron Boys becoming the first Trinidadian and only second club from CONCACAF to accomplish the continental treble in 1985. In addition, the national team also rose to prominence in the late 1980s after falling short by one match of qualification for the nation's first FIFA World Cup in 1989. Valentina (drag queen) Drag Queen

Valentina is the stage name of James Andrew Leyva, an American drag performer, actor, television personality and singer best known as a contestant on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars. In June 2019, New York magazine published the results from their panel of judges and writers which ranked her in the top twenty Drag Race superstars.

The Carib Queen is the leader of the indigenous community in Trinidad and Tobago. The Queen, whose title was established in 1875, is based at the Santa Rosa First Peoples Community in Arima, Trinidad and Tobago. The position is a lifetime appointment.

Jennifer Cassar Trinidadian cultural activist and civil servant, Carib Queen (2011-2018)

Jennifer Cassar was a Trinidadian cultural activist and civil servant. Cassar served as the Carib Queen, a leader of the Santa Rosa First Peoples Community and the indigenous community in Trinidad and Tobago, from 2011 until her death in 2018. Cassar, a career civil servant and the sixth Carib Queen since the title's creation in 1875, was the first Carib Queen to hold a secular job.

Nona Lopez Calderon Galera Moreno Aquan is Carib Queen of the Arima First Peoples. She was revealed to the community on May 29th, 2019 after a traditional ceremony at the community’s centre in Arima.
