Valentine City Schools was a school district headquartered in Valentine, Nebraska.

History

In fall 1954 the district had 735 students, and this was down to 719 in fall 1955. [1]

In 1959, the school district got a conditional deed to land owned by the city government on the condition the school district built an educational facility on the land. [2]

In 1998, the Tioga Burge Public School school district dissolved, with Valentine City Schools receiving a portion of the district area. In 2006, Valentine City Schools merged into Valentine Community Schools, along with various rural school districts. [3]

The Nebraska Center for the Education of Children Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired (NCECBVI) is located in Nebraska City, Nebraska, United States. It was founded in 1875 and serves children from infancy to adults age 21. NCECBVI's program offers the expertise and specialized skills of the center's staff to blind, visually impaired, and other disabled students in residential, day, and outreach settings. Services are provided to local school districts, students, families, teachers, and other support staff, upon request. It was previously the Nebraska School for the Visually Handicapped (NSVH).

Orogrande is an unincorporated community in Otero County, New Mexico, United States, located in the Jarilla Mountains of the Tularosa Basin on U.S. 54 between El Paso, Texas and Alamogordo. The community had a population of 52 in the 2010 census.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Dominic Olejniczak</span> American football executive and mayor (1908–1989)

Dominic John Olejniczak was an American real estate broker, politician, and football executive. Olejniczak served as an alderman of Green Bay, Wisconsin, from 1936 to 1944. He was then elected mayor, serving for 10 years from 1945 to 1955. During his tenure as mayor, a number of large infrastructure projects were completed and city administration was streamlined. Olejniczak was also known for his work with the Green Bay Packers. Over a period of almost 40 years, Olejniczak served as a member of the board of directors, a vice president, president, and chairman of the board. His 24 years as president is the longest tenure of any Packers president. During his presidency, he hired Vince Lombardi in 1959, the Packers won five championships, and the team saw its net worth grow over 5,000%. In recognition of his contributions, Olejniczak was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 1979 and the National Polish-American Sports Hall of Fame in 2020. He died in 1989, after a series of strokes.

Merle Dale Zuver was an Nebraskan professional football player who was a guard for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, where he lettered and was named to the all-conference team. During his only season in the NFL with the Packers in 1930, the team won the NFL Championship. After his career, he was an electrical contractor before retiring to Phoenix, Arizona.

Piñon is an unincorporated ranching community in Otero County in southern New Mexico, in the southwestern United States. It is in the pinon-juniper shrublands habitat with an altitude of 6,060 feet and is located at the intersection of NM Route 24 and NM Route 506.
