Valeriy Sushkevych (born 14 June 1954, in Tarashcha, Kiev Oblast [1] ) is a Ukrainian politician and public figure. Member of Verhovna Rada. President of the National Committee of Sports for the Disabled of Ukraine (National Paralympic Committee of Ukraine), head of the Ukrainian public socio-political association "National Assembly of Disabled of Ukraine", president of the Association "Sports Industry of Ukraine." Born in Tarashcha in 1954, Sushkevych works and was educated in Dnipro. [1] In 1976, Sushkevych graduated from the Oles Honchar Dnipro National University with a degree in mathematics and computer programming. [1] He worked in this field in various factories until 1992, when he was switched his career to civil servant in the "Department of Social Protection of the Population" in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration. [1] He worked in this department until 1998. [1]
Sushkevych was previously a member of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Council from 1990 to 1994. [1]
In the 1998 Ukrainian parliamentary election, Sushkevych was elected for Hromada. [1] In the 2002 Ukrainian parliamentary election for For United Ukraine!, although in parliament he joined the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction. [1] In the 2006 Ukrainian parliamentary election and 2007 Ukrainian parliamentary election Sushkevych was re-elected to parliament for the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc. [1] In the 2012 Ukrainian parliamentary election he was elected to parliament for Batkivshchyna. [1]
Sushkevych was appointed Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on 23 May 2019 by a decree of President Volodymyr Zelensky. [1]
The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc was the name of the bloc of political parties in Ukraine led by Yulia Tymoshenko since 2001. In November 2011, the participation of blocs of political parties in parliamentary elections was banned. The core party of the alliance, Batkivshchyna, remained a major force in Ukrainian politics.

The All-Ukrainian Union "Fatherland" referred to as Batkivshchyna, is a political party in Ukraine led by People's Deputy of Ukraine, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. As the core party of the former Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc, Batkivshchyna has been represented in the Verkhovna Rada since Yulia Tymoshenko set up the parliamentary faction of the same name in March 1999. After the November 2011 banning of the participation of blocs of political parties in parliamentary elections, Batkivshchyna became a major force in Ukrainian politics independently.

Mykola Volodymyrovych Tomenko is a Ukrainian politician. He has been a member of Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada from 2006 until 2016. In 2014, Tomenko became a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, which elected him to the 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada on its party lists during the 2014 parliamentary election. On 25 March 2016 the party Congress of Petro Poroshenko Bloc removed Tomenko's parliamentary mandate using the Imperative mandate provisions of the Ukrainian constitution. This was considered illegal by Tomenko; on 28 July 2016 Ukraine's highest Administrative Court rejected his appeal to gain back his parliamentary seat.

He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, was the 52nd President of the United Nations General Assembly (1997–1998) and a People's Deputy of Ukraine (1998–2007). He was from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. He studied international relations at Kyiv University, having graduated in 1954. He also did graduate studies in agricultural economics at the Ukrainian Research and the Development Institute for Agricultural Economy and Organization from 1956 to 1959.

Since then he has been an independent candidate.
