Savvas Morgan (born 3 December 1988), known professionally as Vas J Morgan, is an English television personality, magazine editor and activist. He is known as a former cast member of the ITVBe BAFTA Award winning reality series The Only Way Is Essex . [2] [3]

Career

Magazine editor

Morgan started his career as a blogger, and in 2010, he launched a celebrity gossip website, [4] which ran for 7 years until he closed it down to focus on his fashion magazine, Tings. [5] The first issue came out in 2017 and had Sofia Richie on its cover. [6] [7]

Television

In 2014, Morgan joined the cast of The Only Way Is Essex , an ITVBe reality television series. [8] Morgan left the series at the end of the 19th series, and made a guest appearance during the 21st series.

In August 2018, Morgan participated in the fifth series of E4 dating series Celebs Go Dating . [9]

Activism

In March 2020, Morgan launched the WE MATTER platform to allow a safe space for people to discuss mental health issues without judgement and stigma.

Following the murder of George Floyd, Morgan used his platform to raise over £50,000 to provide free mental health support to black communities. [10]

Personal life

Morgan is from London, England. He has an older brother and two older sisters. Morgan currently lives in Essex, England. [11]

He is currently in a relationship with British actress Kate Beckinsale.

The Only Way Is Essex is a British reality television series based in Brentwood, Essex, England. It shows "real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way." Broadcast on ITV2 from 2010, the series was moved to ITVBe in October 2014. The first series consisted of 10 episodes and ran for 30 minutes, with a Christmas special following later in the year. The thirteenth series of the British semi-reality television programme The Only Way Is Essex was confirmed on 30 January 2014 when it had been announced that it had renewed for a further three series, the eleventh, twelfth and thirteenth. It is therefore the final series to be included in its current contract. The series launched on 8 October 2014 with two The Only Way Is Ibiza specials. It is the first series to feature on ITV's new channel ITVBe, which also launched on 8 October 2014. Because of this, the first episode of The Only Way Is Ibiza features a live afterparty straight after the episode hosted by ex-cast member Mark Wright and narrator of the show Denise van Outen.

The twenty-first series of the British reality television programme The Only Way Is Essex was confirmed on 3 June 2015 when it was announced that it had renewed for at least a further six series, taking it up to 21 series. The series began on 10 September 2017 with the cast going to Marbella, and concluded after seventeen episodes on 5 November 2017, making it the second longest series to date after it was confirmed that the lengths of each series would be extended. Ahead of the series it was announced that James Argent would be returning to the series following his break from the show. It was also confirmed that after making brief appearances during the previous series, Lauren Pope and Mario Falcone would be returning to the series as a full-time cast member. With this announcement, it was revealed that Mike Hassini would also be returning to the series having previously left the show after the eighteenth series. Former cast member Elliott Wright also made an appearance during the second episode of the series, whilst Vas J Morgan also returned to the show mid-way through the series. This was also the first series to include new cast members Ruby Lacey and Taylor Barnett. Former cast member Danielle Armstrong also made a brief return to the series, appearing in the Halloween special episode airing on 29 October 2017. During the series it was announced that Carol Wright had quit the show. A further Essexmas episode aired on 17 December 2017.

Bobby Norris is an English television personality, known for his appearances on the ITVBe reality series The Only Way Is Essex from 2012 until Norris announced his departure from the series in 2021.

Chloe Brockett is an English television personality. After moving to Chafford Hundred, Essex, at a young age, she began acting with various appearances in television advertisements. Whilst working as a hairdresser, she was cast in the ITVBe reality series The Only Way Is Essex in 2019. As well as appearing on the series, she has also made appearances on Dinner Date and Celebs Go Dating, as well as owning two businesses.
