Vejle Amts Folkeblad is a regional Danish newspaper. It is now published by Jysk Fynske Medier.
The newspaper was first published on 20 October 1865 by Thomas Nielsen. Later that year, H Kleine bought the newspaper and the associated printing business from Nielsen. After Kleine's death in 1868, his widow published the paper for one year.
In 1869, Nielsen and editor A. K. Jensen bought the paper. Jensen retired in 1882. After Nielsen's death in 1895 , the paper was published by a joint stock company. In 1892, Chr. Søndergaard became editor in chief. He was succeeded in 1933 by A. W. Johannessen. In 1940, G. Skytte Nielsen became editor-in-chief. [1]
Politiken is a leading Danish daily broadsheet newspaper, published by JP/Politikens Hus in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was founded in 1884 and played a role in the formation of the Danish Social Liberal Party. Since 1970 it has been independent of the party but maintains a liberal stance. It now runs an online newspaper, politiken.dk. The paper's design has won several international awards, and a number of its journalists have won the Cavling Prize.
The Tagea Brandts Rejselegat is a Danish award to women who have made a significant contribution in science, literature or art. The grant, which is given without application, was created and endowed by Danish industrialist Vilhelm Brandt (1854–1921) in 1905 in honor of his wife, Tagea Brandt. It is awarded annually on 17 March, her birthday. The charter of 1922 provides that it shall be given to outstanding women in science, art, music, literature and theater arts. The intent is for the awardee to both broaden her horizons while promoting Danish society abroad, and to benefit from vacation and rest time.
Vejle is a city in Denmark, in the southeast of the Jutland Peninsula at the head of Vejle Fjord, where the Vejle River and Grejs River and their valleys converge. Tommy Brian Troelsen was a Danish football player and manager, and television presenter. He played his entire club career with Vejle Boldklub, winning one Danish championship and two Danish Cup trophies. Troelsen played 16 matches and scored five goals for the Danish national team, and won a silver medal for Denmark at the 1960 Summer Olympics. After ending his footballing career, he became a popular television host on Danmarks Radio and dk4.

Jump the Gun is the third studio album by the Danish hard rock/heavy metal band Pretty Maids. It was released on 20 April 1990 in Europe by CBS. In the US, the title was changed to Lethal Heroes and it was released by Epic Records. The album was produced by Deep Purple's bass guitarist Roger Glover. According to CBS, it was then the most expensive album recording to date in Denmark, with a cost of around DKK 3–3.5 million. Jump the Gun was nominated for Danish Heavy Rock Album of the Year at the 1991 Danish Grammy Awards, but lost to Skagarack's A Slice of Heaven.

Lilly Brændgaard Hansen née Jacobsen (1918–2009) was a Danish fashion designer and businesswoman. In 1947, she opened a studio in Vejle where she designed various clothes for women but soon specialized in the more profitable business of wedding dresses. In the mid-1960s, she moved into larger premises in Vejle, founding Denmark's first clothing factory. Established as Kjoleateliet LILLY, over the years her firm became known simply as LILLY. On the occasion of its 50th anniversary in 1997, there were nine outlets in Denmark and 13 in Germany.
