The Association of Theater and Concert Hall Directors (Dutch: Vereniging van Schouwburg- en Concertgebouwdirecties) [1] in short VSCD [2] is a Dutch association founded in 1955.

It presents many awards, including the theater awards Louis d'Or, Theo d'Or, Arlecchino, and Colombina. [3] [4]

The Louis d'Or is a Dutch acting award, given annually to the actor with the most impressive leading role of the theater season. It is awarded by the Vereniging van Schouwburg- en Concertgebouwdirecties (VSCD), the main trade organisation for theaters in The Netherlands. The award itself is a golden medal, currently designed by Eric Claus. It was named after the Dutch actor Louis Bouwmeester. Its female counterpart is the Theo d'Or.

Statue of <i>Vincent and Theo van Gogh</i>

A statue of Vincent and Theo van Gogh by Ossip Zadkine stands on Vincent van Goghplein in the town of Zundert in the Netherlands. It stands in front of the Van Gogh church and not far from the place where the brothers were born. The bronze statue was unveiled by Queen Juliana on 28 May 1964.

The Theo Thijssen-prijs is a Dutch literary award awarded once every three years to a Dutch author of children's literature or young adult fiction. The award is not given for a particular work, but for the entire oeuvre. The award is named after Dutch writer, teacher and socialist politician Theo Thijssen. The winner of the prize receives 60,000 and a small replica of a statue of Theo Thijssen by Hans Bayens.

The Arlecchino is an award that is awarded annually in the form of a bronze statue by a jury of the Dutch Association of Theater and Concert Hall Directors (VSCD) as a prize for the most impressive male supporting actor role of the Dutch theater season. The prize bears the Italian name of the character Harlequin, and was first awarded in 1964. The figurine has been designed by Eric Claus since 2005. Previous designers were Nic Jonk, and Pépé Grégoire.

The Colombina is an award that is awarded annually in the form of a bronze statue by a jury of the Dutch Association of Theater and Concert Hall Directors to the most impressive female supporting actress of the Dutch theater season.

Emmanuel Ohene Boafo is a Dutch-Ghanaian actor. He plays the Dutch voice of Black Panther in the What if...? animation series and in 2021 he became the first black actor to win the prestigious Louis d'Or, for his version of the monologue Sea Wall. He was born in a Ghanaian family in the town of Meppel in the Netherlands.
