Vernes (sometimes called Agdenes) is a village in Agdenes municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located on the end of the Vernes peninsula which sits at junction of the Verrafjorden and the Trondheimsleia. The village is the site of the Agdenes Church and the Vernes ferry quay which has regular connections to the islands of Leksa, Storfosna, and Garten to the north. Vernes is about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of the village of Vassbygda.

Vassbygda is a village in the municipality of Agdenes in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located near the mouth of the Trondheimsfjorden across from the town of Brekstad in Ørland municipality. The Agdenes Lighthouse lies about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) to the east of the village and the village of Vernes and the Agdenes Church are both located about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) to the southwest of Vassbygda. The Brekstad–Valset Ferry lies just east of Vassbygda, connecting it to Brekstad to the north.

Ingdalen is a village in the municipality of Agdenes in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village lies along the western shore of the Trondheimsfjord about 6.5 kilometres (4.0 mi) south of the villages of Lensvik and Selbekken. Ingdal Chapel is located in the village. The village was once a part of the municipality of Stadsbygd which included land on both sides of the fjord, but in 1964 the Ingdalen area was separated from Stadsbygd and merged into Agdenes which was on the same side of the fjord. The lake Øyangsvatnet lies about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of the village.

Ingdalen Chapel is a parish church in Agdenes municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Ingdalen, along the Trondheimsfjord about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) south of Selbekken. It is one of the three churches for the Agdenes parish which is part of the Orkdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The red, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1960 by volunteers and donations using plans by the architect John Tverdahl. The church seats about 140 people. It was consecrated on 11 December 1960 by the Bishop Arne Fjellbu.

It is located in the village of Vernes along the Trondheimsleia in the north part of Agdenes, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southwest of Vassbygda. It is the main church for the Agdenes parish which is part of the Orkdal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1857 by the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch. The church seats about 200 people. The church was supposed to be consecrated on 24 March 1858, but due to a storm and snowy weather, it had to be postponed for 3 days until the 27th of March and several of the priests that were to be there were unable to make it.

The municipality was located along the western shore of the Trondheimsfjorden and it encompassed the central part of what is now Agdenes municipality in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre was the village of Lensvik where the Lensvik Church is located.
