Victor Guzun (born 24 April 1975) is a Moldovan teacher,politician and diplomat. He served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Estonia.
He graduated Tiraspol State University in 1996 (Geography),Free International University (Master's degree in International relations,2002) [1] and Estonian School of Diplomacy (2007). [2]
Previously,Guzun held the position of Director of Foreign Relations and European Integration Department,Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure,Director of Centre for European Studies,lecturer of geopolitics at International Institute of Management,deputy-director and teacher at “Gheorghe Asachi”high-school,Chisinau,Republic of Moldova. After achieving independence from the Soviet Union,the Republic of Moldova established relations with other European countries. A course for European Union integration and neutrality define the country's foreign policy guidelines.

International recognition of Transnistria –a disputed region in Eastern Europe located between Moldova and Ukraine –is controversial. Although Transnistria declared independence in 1990,no United Nations member recognises its sovereignty and the region is considered by the UN to be part of Moldova. Currently,only Abkhazia,the Republic of Artsakh and South Ossetia recognise its independence,all themselves states with limited recognition. Despite not officially recognizing Transnistria's independence,Russia has close relations with Transnistria and even established a consulate in the territory. The Council of Europe considers the region a Russian-occupied territory.
