Victor Majid (born 21 April 1992) is a Kenyan international footballer who plays for Mufulira Wanderers, as a midfielder.
Born in Busia, Majid has played club football for SoNy Sugar, Karuturi Sports, Bandari, Kenya Commercial Bank, Chemelil Sugar and A.F.C. Leopards. [1]
The Kenya national football team represents Kenya in international football. It is controlled by the Football Kenya Federation, the governing body football in Kenya, and competes as a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA), a sub-confederation of CAF that has jurisdiction in East and Central Africa. Chemelil Sugar Football Club, or simply Chemelil Sugar FC, was a Kenyan football club based in Chemelil. They were playing in the top division in Kenyan football from 1997 to 2020 when the team got disbanded. Their home stadium was Chemelil Sports Complex. The club won Kenyan Cup in 2003, but most top clubs pulled out of the competition due to a feud between them and Kenya Football Federation. The club was owned by the Chemelil Sugar Company.
SoNy Sugar Football Club is an association football club based in Awendo, Kenya. It was competing in the Kenyan Premier League, the top tier of the Kenyan football league system, and played its home games at the Sony Green Stadium. It was expelled from Kenya Football League in 2019 after failing to participate in 3 of its matches. In the 2005–06 season, the club clinched its first league title with a record that included over 20 wins. The sugar millers were led to their first premier league trophy by head coach Francis Baraza who had just taken over from Peter Otieno 'Bassanga'. Most of the players were casual workers at the sugar milling factory. Rana Majid Haq Khan, better known as Majid Haq, is a Scottish cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and an off spin bowler. He has represented Scotland at Under 17, Under 19 and Under 23 levels, making his debut for the senior side on 20 July 2002 in a European Championship match against an England Board XI. He was a member of the Scottish squad for the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies. Majid is a cousin of fellow cricketer Omer Hussain. Both Omer and Majid have played for Kelburne Cricket Club, Ferguslie Cricket Club and Clydesdale Cricket Club. He now plays for the Edinburgh based club, Royal High Corstorphine Cricket Club. Majid Haq is of Pakistani descent. In March 2020, he was tested positive for COVID-19.
Rana Omer Hussain, better known as Omer Hussain, is a Scottish cricket player. He made his debut for the Scottish cricket team on 18 September 2005 in a C&G Trophy match against Warwickshire. He has played seven times in all for Scotland, including two One Day Internationals. He has also represented his country at Under 15, Under 17, Under 19 and Under 23 level and at international levels. Omer Hussain is a left-handed batsman and is cousin of fellow Scottish international cricketer Majid Haq.
