Jose Mari Victor Espino Silayan [1] (born August 1, 1992), better known as Victor Silayan, is a Filipino actor and commercial model. He is the grandson of the late veteran actor Vic Silayan and the nephew of the late beauty queen turned actress, Chat Silayan. He is also a Bench underwear endorser, a Regal baby and was one of TV5's Primetime Prince's before transferring to ABS-CBN. [2]

Early life

He is the grandson of the late Vic Silayan, nephew of Chat Silayan and the youngest of three children of Ruben Victor Silayan and Roxanne Espino.

Education

He finished grade and high school in De La Salle Santiago Zobel School in Alabang, Muntinlupa. He took up Fine Arts in UST but shifted as an Economics and Applied Corporate Management student at De La Salle University – Manila where he's into mixed martial arts (Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai and Judo), painting, sculpting, photography and music. He was a member of the Muay Thai varsity team. He's now in third year. [3] [4]

Career

He is currently one of TV5's Primetime Prince. His first project was The Sisters wherein he played as Eula Caballero's partner. [5]

Before he joined TV5, he made it to the final casting of the GMA Network's Amaya which he turned down in favor of his studies. The role (Lumad) went to Mikael Daez. [6] [7]

In 2015 he had a guest stint on Ipaglaban Mo! and Pasion de Amor. In 2016, he is set to appear on Tubig at Langis starring Zanjoe Marudo and Cristine Reyes.
