View Media Group (VMG) is an Australian media and property technology company headquartered in Melbourne. [1]
VMG operates a range of digital real estate, marketing, and technology businesses, including the property listings platform View.com.au. [2] [3] [4] [5]
View Media Group was established in August 2022, as a privately held company. [6] . VMG is owned by 20 Cashews Pty Ltd, an entity which is jointly owned by Antony Catalano and Alex Waislitz’s private Thorney Investment Group and the publicly listed Thorney Opportunities Ltd. [7]
Shortly after its formation, VMG acquired a number of property technology and marketing businesses, including The Today Business and AD Group, an off-the-plan project marketing platform. [8] [9] [10]
Following launch, Seven West Media via its Seven West Ventures subsidiary and ANZ Group Holdings Ltd (ANZ), [11] [12] [13] [14] obtained equity in VMG. The combined investment from all parties saw the total cash and media spend available to VMG of over $100 million. [8] Catalano and Waislitz also share joint ownership of Australian Community Media (ACM). [15]
As of June 2025, filings with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission indicated ANZ had made a further investment at a lower share price, reflecting a write-down in the company’s valuation. [16]
Seven West also reported a reduction in the value of its venture portfolio, “primarily View Media Group”, in its 2025 annual report. [16]
