Vijith Nambiar (born 9 December 1977) is an Indian film director, [2] music composer, [3] playback singer, [4] actor and producer, [5] [6] who works in Malayalam cinema and Tamil cinema. He made his film debut in 1995 as an assistant director in the Tamil film industry. As a trained Carnatic singer, he started playback track singing in the Malayalam and Tamil film industries from 1995 onwards for leading musical composers and professional playback singers.[ citation needed ]
He made his original playback singing debut in 2018 with the song "Thava Chintasu" [7] from Anurakthi, which is world's first 3D Sanskrit movie and the movie was showcased at IFFI. [8] Vijith made his acting debut in Anurakthi (2018). His debut in the Malayalam [9] film industry as director and music director [10] was in 2018 with Munthiri Monchan: Oru Thavala Paranja Kadha , [11] [12] an urban musical romantic comedy, which was released in September 2019.[ citation needed ]
Vijith Nambiar was born in Cherukunnu, Kannur District, Kerala. He started learning Carnatic music as a child, at the age of seven. Vijith Nambiar studied music under the guidance of musicians BA Chidambaranath Chennai and Kaithapram Vishwanathan Nambudiri. [13]
He graduated in 1999 with a degree in mechanical engineering from the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in Coimbatore and in 2014 was working as the director of Middle East operations at Dunbar and Boardman Partnership, Ltd. [14]

Vijith Nambiar has started singing career has a professional playback track singer from 1995 onwards for leading musical composers and professional playback singers. Malabar Gopalan Nair Sreekumar, better known as M. G. Sreekumar is an Indian playback singer, composer, music producer, television presenter and film producer, who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. He has sung more than 25000 songs in various Indian languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Sanskrit. Anurakthi is a Sanskrit film made in Kerala, India. The film is about the Indian art Koodiyattom. This is the first Sanskrit film to have a song. The song was shot in 3D, making the film the first 3D Sanskrit film. The film was screened at the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa in 2017. The film also won the special jury award for best regional film at the 5th Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF), Jaipur in 2018.
Sanskrit cinema is a part of Indian cinema with only 15 films made since 1983, and there is no separate industry for Sanskrit films.
Munthiri Monchan: Oru Thavala Paranja Kadha is a 2019 Indian cinema Malayalam film directed by debutant director Vijith Nambiar for producer P. K. Ashokan. The film, a Movie Factory presentation stars Manesh Krishnan, Gopika Anil, Salim Kumar, Innocent, Devan and Saleema with several others. The film unites actors Devan and Saleema after a gap of 31 years as the pair's last film was Aranyakam, directed by Hariharan, written by M. T. Vasudevan Nair.
