Viking IK was an ice hockey team in Stavanger, Norway.

The club was originally a part of the multi-sports club IL Viking, but became independent in 1987. [1] The club played in the arena Siddishallen from 1968, and played in the First Division, the top level of Norwegian ice hockey, from 1978-1996. Viking IK went bankrupt after the 1996 season. [2]

Viking Hockey is an ice hockey team based in Stavanger, Norway. The club was founded in 1998, replacing Viking IK, which had folded in 1996. They played one season in the GET-ligaen, 1998-99. The team colors are blue and they play home matches in Siddishallen.

Previous seasons in the top Swedish division include 1956–57 to 1975–76, 1977–78, 1981–82, 2000–01 to 2012–13 and 2018-19. The team's home venue is NHC Arena with a capacity of 6 000 spectators.

Stavanger Oilers

Stavanger Ishockeyklubb, commonly referred to as Stavanger Oilers, is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Stavanger, Norway. They currently play in the Fjordkraftligaen, which is the top division in Norwegian ice hockey. As of 2018, it is the only team in the league from western Norway. The Oilers play their home matches in DNB Arena.

Frisk Asker Ishockey, commonly known as Frisk Asker, is a Norwegian ice hockey club based in Asker, Norway. The team is currently a member of the highest Norwegian ice hockey league, Fjordkraft-Ligaen. They are based in the municipality of Asker, around 20 km from Oslo, and play their home games in the Askerhallen. The team colours are orange, black and white.

Lillehammer IK ice hockey club in Lillehammer, Norway

Lillehammer Ishockeyklubb is an ice hockey club based in Lillehammer, Norway and playing in the GET-ligaen. Home games are played in Eidsiva Arena, and occasionally in Håkons Hall.

Eidsiva Arena Arena

Eidsiva Arena is an arena located at Stampesletta in Lillehammer, Norway. It consist of an ice rink, a combined handball and floorball court, and a curling rink. The venue, owned and operated by the Lillehammer Municipality, opened in 1988 and cost 65 million Norwegian krone (NOK) to build. One of the motivations for its construction was to help Lillehammer's bid to be selected as the host of the 1994 Winter Olympics. The ice rink has a capacity for 3,194 spectators and is the home rink of GET-ligaen hockey club Lillehammer IK. Eidsiva Arena is located next to the larger Håkons Hall, which opened in 1993. During the 1994 Winter Olympics, Kristins Hall was a training rink, and subsequently hosted the ice sledge hockey tournament at the 1994 Winter Paralympics. The venue also co-hosted Group B of the 1989 World Ice Hockey Championships.

Nybro Vikings

Nybro Vikings IF is an ice-hockey club from Nybro in Sweden. The team was playing in the highest league in Sweden for two seasons 1968–69 and 1969–70 and the second highest league during the 70s and 80s and again for seven years from 2002 to 2009 in Hockeyallsvenskan. The team was relegated to the third division, Division 1, during the 2008-2009 season after finishing only 15th in the regular season and only third in the following qualification series with six teams, two from Hockeyallsvenskan and four from Division 1.

Petri Vehanen Finnish ice hockey player

Petri Vehanen is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender. During his career, he played for clubs in his native Finland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Czech Republic and Germany. He won the World Championship with the Finnish national team in 2011.

Spektrum Flyers was a short-lived ice hockey team from Oslo, Norway. A merger between Manglerud Star and Furuset, it played the 1994–95 and 1995–96 seasons in Eliteserien, the premier ice hockey league in Norway, with home games at Oslo Spektrum. The team relocated to Bergen after two seasons.

Kvalserien, also known as Kvalserien till HockeyAllsvenskan, is the name of the Swedish round-robin ice hockey tournament to qualify for play in the next season of HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden's second highest ice hockey league for men.

The 1996–97 Eliteserien season was the 58th season of ice hockey in Norway. Ten teams participated in the league, and Storhamar Ishockey won the championship.
