Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna Göteborg, commonly known as IFK Göteborg, IFK or simply Göteborg, is a Swedish professional football club based in Gothenburg. Founded in 1904, it is the only club in the Nordic countries that has won one of the main UEFA competitions, having won the UEFA Cup in both 1982 and 1987. IFK is affiliated with Göteborgs Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Gamla Ullevi. The club colours are blue and white, colours shared both with the sports society which the club originated from, Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna, and with the coat of arms of the city of Gothenburg. The team colours have influenced the historical nickname Blåvitt. The blue and white are in stripes, with blue shorts and socks.
Malmö Fotbollförening, commonly known as Malmö FF, Malmö, or MFF, is a professional football club and the most successful football club in Sweden in terms of domestic trophies won. Formed in 1910 and affiliated with the Scania Football Association, Malmö FF is based at Eleda Stadion in Malmö, Scania. The club has won a record 22 Swedish championship titles and the most national cup titles with 15.
Örgryte Idrottssällskap, commonly referred to as Örgryte IS, Örgryte or ÖIS or Öis, is a Swedish sports club based in Gothenburg. It consists of four departments, namely bowling, football, athletics and wrestling. However, the club is best known for its football department. It is the oldest football club in Sweden. The club was founded in 1887 which makes it the oldest active sports club in the country.
Djurgårdens IF Fotbollsförening – commonly known as Djurgårdens IF, Djurgården Fotboll, Djurgården, and Djurgår'n, Dif or DIF – is the professional men's association football department of its parent association Djurgårdens IF. Founded 1891 on the island of Djurgården, the club's home ground is Tele2 Arena, situated in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm.

IFK Eskilstuna is a Swedish football club located in Eskilstuna in Södermanland County. In their early seasons IFK had a proud record as an Allsvenskan club. They now play in Division 2 Västra Svealand, which is the fourth tier of Swedish football.
Västmanland-Nerikes BK was a Swedish football club created in 1910 for the sole purpose of playing in the newly started Svenska Serien. The team was made up of the best players from Örebro BK, IFK Köping and IFK Västerås, who were selected after two test matches played before the league started. The club played its matches at Örebro IP in Örebro.
Svenska Serien 1910, part of the 1910 Swedish football season, was the first Svenska Serien season played. Örgryte IS won the league ahead of runners-up AIK, while Göteborgs FF and Västmanland-Nerikes BK were relegated.
Svenska Serien 1911–12, part of the 1911–12 Swedish football season, was the second Svenska Serien season played. Örgryte IS won the league ahead of runners-up Djurgårdens IF, while Göteborgs FF, Mariebergs IK, Vikingarnas FK and IFK Eskilstuna were relegated.
The 1920-21 season was the first time Malmö FF competed in a national division. The Swedish Football Association arranged for the best clubs in the country to play in national divisions, before 1920 only certain clubs, mostly clubs from Stockholm and Gothenburg had been able to play for the Swedish football championship which was decided by a cup form competition until the introduction of Allsvenskan in 1924. The 1920-21 season was also significant in the way that it was also Malmö FF's first season with the now iconic skyblue match kit. The club competed in Division 2 Sydsvenska Serien, finishing first and gaining promotion to Division 1 Svenska Serien Västra for the 1922–23 season.

The club is affiliated with Skånes Fotbollförbund, and plays its home games at Stadion. Formed on 24 February 1910, Malmö FF is the most successful club in Sweden in terms of trophies won. The club have won the most league titles of any Swedish club with twenty-one, a joint record eighteen Swedish championship titles and a record fourteen national cup titles. The team competes in Allsvenskan as of the 2015 season; this is Malmö FF's 15th consecutive season in the top flight, and their 80th overall. The main rivals of the club are Helsingborgs IF, IFK Göteborg and, historically, IFK Malmö.

Carl "Ceve" Linde was a Swedish football player, manager, administrator and pioneer. He was also involved in Swedish sports in general, and was a prominent sports journalist. He played for IFK Uddevalla and IFK Göteborg during his short playing career. Linde was more successful as a sports manager and administrator, both for IFK Göteborg and the national team. He played a big part in various roles for the national team and the Swedish Football Association, for which he was inducted into the Swedish Football Hall of Fame.
