Vikki Hammond is an Australian actress and TV host. Born in England [1] she moved to Australia in 1957. [2] She appeared on TV in variety shows such as Personally Yours , Top of the Town, Merry-Go-Round , My Fair Lady, Daly At Night [1] The Delo and Daly Show , [3] BP Super Shows, Revue 61 [2] She hosted the variety series Vikki on the ABC in 1963. [4] [1] After taking a break from show business she returned and played Maggie Hayword in The Sullivans . [2] [5] Hammond won the 1982 Logie Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series for this role. [6] Other TV appearances include on What's It Worth?, [7] Division 4, Homicide, Afraid of the Dark, [8] Flying Doctors [9] and the opening of ATV-0. [10]

Midday is an Australian award-winning daytime television program, based on the variety format that aired on the Nine Network on 11 February 1985 until 27 November 1998. The Sullivans is an Australian period drama television series produced by Crawford Productions which ran on the Nine Network from 15 November 1976 until 10 March 1983. The series tells the story of a fictional average middle-class Melbourne family and the effect that the Second World War and the immediate post-war events had on their lives. It covers the period between 1 September 1939 to 22 August 1948. It was a consistent ratings success in Australia, and also became popular in the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Netherlands, Gibraltar, Greece and New Zealand.

The 5th Annual TV Week Logie Awards were announced on Wednesday 26 March 1963 by TV Week. The award ceremony was to have taken place at the Chevron-Hilton Hotel in Sydney on 23 March 1963 and been broadcast on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), with Tony Hancock and Marie McDonald as guest presenters, but Hancock cancelled his trip to Australia due to illness. Kerri-Anne Kennerley is an Australian television and radio presenter, actress and singer. She has more than 50 years in the industry, and is an inductee into the Logie Hall of Fame. Kennerley co-hosted Network 10's breakfast television program Good Morning Australia for 11 years. She then went on to replace Tracy Grimshaw and David Reyne as the host of Midday, making the show Midday with Kerri-Anne. Daly at Night was an Australian television series which aired from 7 March 1962 to 29 March 1963, aired on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on Melbourne station HSV-7. Hosted by American-born Jonathan Daly, the series was an interview program. Other regulars on the series included Horrie Dargie, Vikki Hammond, Lou Richards, Frank Thring and Arthur Young. Daly was later co-star of another 1960s Australian series, variety show The Delo and Daly Show.

Vikki was an Australian variety television show broadcast by the ABC in 1963. It was hosted by Vikki Hammond who was supported by singers Joe Melton and Johnny Rohan, The Vern Moore Trio and dancers. It debuted on 25 July and had a run of 13 half hour shows.
