Vilhelm Reesen (1675-1745) was a Norwegian officer and government official. He served as a naval officer from 1689 until 1718. He was then appointed as the County Governor of Lister og Mandal county from 1718 until his death in 1745. [1] [2] [3]

Halse og Harkmark is a former municipality in the old Vest-Agder county, Norway. The 105-square-kilometre (41 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1964. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Halse, which at that time was a suburb of the town of Mandal. It was located in the southern part of the municipality of Mandal. The municipality of Halse og Harkmark encompassed the rural areas that surrounded the town of Mandal, including many islands such as Hille, Skjernøy, and Pysen. It is now located within Lindesnes Municipality in what is now Agder county.

Flosta Former municipality in Aust-Agder, Norway

Flosta is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The 22.8-square-kilometre (8.8 sq mi) municipality existed from 1902 until its dissolution in 1962. It is currently part of the municipality of Arendal in Agder county. The administrative center of Flosta was at Staubø in the village of Kilsund. The municipality primarily encompassed the two islands of Flostaøya and Tverrdalsøya and about 9 square kilometres (3.5 sq mi) on the mainland just north of the islands including the villages of Eikeland, Borås, and Vatnebu.

Hisøy Church Church in Agder, Norway

Hisøy Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Arendal Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of His on the island of Hisøya. It is one of the churches for the Hisøy parish which is part of the Arendal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden, empire style church was built in a cruciform design in 1849 using plans drawn up by the architect Gustav Adolph Lammers. The church seats about 500 people. From 1881 until 1992 it was the main church for Hisøy municipality.

Froland Church is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Froland Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Froland. It is one of the two churches for the Froland parish which is part of the Arendal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1718 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 295 people.

Christian Frederik Powisch or Christian Frederik Pogwisch (1650-1711) was a Norwegian government official. He served as the County Governor of Stavanger amt from 1687 until 1700. Then, he was appointed as the Diocesan Governor of Christianssand stiftamt from 1700 until his death in 1711.

Edvard Hammond (1688–1711) was a Norwegian civil servant and politician. He served as the County Governor of Stavanger amt from 1700 until 1710. He was then transferred to be the Diocesan Governor of Bergenhus stiftamt from 1710 until his death in 1711.
