The Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature Film is an award for documentary films. In 1941, the first awards for feature-length documentaries were bestowed as Special Awards to Kukan and Target for Tonight. They have since been bestowed competitively each year, with the exception of 1946. Copies of every winning film are held by the Academy Film Archive.
Denis Villeneuve is a Canadian filmmaker. He is a four-time recipient of the Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction, winning for Maelström in 2001, Polytechnique in 2009, Incendies in 2010 and Enemy in 2013. The first three of these films also won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Motion Picture, while the latter was awarded the prize for best Canadian film of the year by the Toronto Film Critics Association.

The Skyjacker's Tale is a Canadian documentary film, directed by Jamie Kastner and released in 2016. The film centres on Ishmael Muslim Ali, who received a disputed conviction of murder in the Fountain Valley massacre of 1972 before hijacking a plane to Cuba in 1984. It mixes interviews, including the first interview given by Ali himself since the incident, with dramatic reenactments of the hijacking.
The Canadian Screen Award for Best Cinematography in a Documentary is an annual award, presented as part of the Canadian Screen Awards program to honour the year's best cinematography in a documentary film. It is presented separately from the Canadian Screen Award for Best Cinematography for feature films.
Anote's Ark is a 2018 Canadian documentary film directed by Matthieu Rytz. Profiling the impact of climate change on the island nation of Kiribati, which will be one of the first nations on earth to entirely disappear underwater in the event of a sustained sea level rise, the film tells the stories of the nation's former president Anote Tong, who intensely lobbied the international community to take action on the threat, and of Sermary Tiare, an I-Kiribati woman who decides to protect her family by emigrating to New Zealand.
Norm Li is a Canadian cinematographer. He is most noted for his work on the film The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open, for which he won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Cinematography at the 8th Canadian Screen Awards in 2020. He was previously nominated in the same category at the 6th Canadian Screen Awards in 2018 for Never Steady, Never Still, and won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Photography in a Documentary Program or Series at the 4th Canadian Screen Awards in 2016 for Tricks on the Dead: The Story of the Chinese Labour Corps in WWI.
Prayer for a Lost Mitten is a Canadian documentary film, directed by Jean-François Lesage and released in 2020. The film centres on the lost and found office of the Montreal Metro system.

Thomas Burstyn, sometimes credited as Tom Burstyn, is a Canadian cinematographer and documentary filmmaker. He is most noted for his work on the 1995 film Magic in the Water, for which he won the Genie Award for Best Cinematography at the 16th Genie Awards. He was nominated in the same category on two other occasions, at the 10th Genie Awards in 1989 for The Tadpole and the Whale , and at the 14th Genie Awards in 1993 for The Lotus Eaters.
The 10th Canadian Screen Awards were held on April 10, 2022, to honour achievements in Canadian film, television and digital media production in 2021. Nominations were announced on February 15.
Pavle Čemerikić is a Serbian actor. He is most noted for his performance as Faruk in the 2021 film The White Fortress (Tabija), for which he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Actor at the 10th Canadian Screen Awards in 2022 and a Vancouver Film Critics Circle nomination for Best Actor in a Canadian Film at the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards 2021.
Matthieu Rytz is a Canadian documentary filmmaker, most noted for his 2018 film Anote's Ark. He received a Canadian Screen Award nomination for Best Cinematography in a Documentary at the 7th Canadian Screen Awards, and Prix Iris nominations for Best Documentary Film and Best Cinematography in a Documentary at the 21st Quebec Cinema Awards.
