It was directly released via Disney+ Hotstar on 1 October 2021. The film received mainly positive reviews from critics, who noted that the highlight was a passingly good main cast's performance.
Bigg Boss Ultimate was the first season of the Tamil Indian reality Streaming television of Bigg Boss Ultimate, the spin-off to Bigg Boss Tamil and the first series to be released exclusively on Star India streaming service Disney+ Hotstar.
