Violet Maude Baddeley married name Violet Engelbach (1902-1989) was an English international badminton player.
Baddeley twice reached the final of the All England Open Badminton Championships. In 1922 she reached the final partnering A. M. Head and in 1927 she reached the final with D. Myers. [2] [3]
She was the daughter of the famous tennis player Herbert Baddeley. In 1930 she married fellow badminton player Archibald Engelbach. [4]
She remarried and died in 1989 as Violet Maude Thompson.

Hazel de Bohun Hogarth (1882-1940) was an English badminton and tennis player. Hogarth was capped by England thirteen times between 1904 and 1929 and was attributed as being the player who innovated the backhand serve. She had great success at the All England Championships winning eleven titles.
Margaret Rivers Tragett was a former English badminton player. She competed in the All England Championships from 1902 until 1933 and was the winner of eleven titles. She gained fifteen caps for England and was also editor of the 'Gazette' a popular badminton publication.
Archibald Frank Engelbach (1881-1961) was an English badminton player. He competed in the All England Championships winning the Men's doubles title in 1920 under the alias A Fee. He was a schools gymnastic champion before taking up badminton and became a prominent badminton judge. This resulted in him being uncapped for the England team. In 1930 he married Violet Baddeley, also a well known badminton player, daughter of Herbert Baddeley, the four time winner of the Wimbledon doubles. He died on December 1961 at his home in London aged 80.
Marian Horsley née Edith Marian Bagshaw Mann (1893-1958) was an English badminton player. She came to prominence whilst still at school and with a reputation as a fitness fanatic gained 24 England caps. She competed in the All England Championships winning two titles in 1929 and 1931. Twenty years later she won the Berks, Bucks and Oxon title four times, the last aged 60.

Dorothy Ursula Cundall was an English badminton player. Born in 1882 in Richmond, London she was a prominent player before the First World War winning three All England titles. In 1912 she married Douglas Harvey. Cundall played as Mrs Harvey afterwards.
Lavinia Clara Radeglia, was an English badminton player. She first played badminton in 1903 at the Richmond Badminton Club. She became an England international in 1909 and won four All England titles. She was a one time editor of the Badminton Gazette and a well known Lawn Tennis player and became a professional tennis coach.
Violet Helen Strachan Elton (1889-1969) was an English badminton player. She started playing badminton in India at the age of seven. After joining a club playing at the Territorial Drill Hall in Kensington she started to come to prominence. She won five All England titles. She was capped nine times by England between 1924 and 1930. Elton died on March 4, 1969 in Sidmouth.
Francis Percy Hodge known as Frank Hodge was an English badminton player. After serving with distinction during the First World War he returned to playing badminton in 1919. A left handed player he was capped 18 times by England between 1919 and 1933. He won three All England titles.
