Virender Singh (judge) (born 7 October 1954) is an Indian Judge and former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.[ citation needed ]

Career

Singh passed from Government College, Rohtak and completed his Degree of Law from J. V. Jain College, Saharanpur.[ citation needed ] He started practice from June 1978 in Rohatak. Singh was appointed Deputy Advocate General, Haryana in 1995. On 2 July 2002 he was appointed Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court thereafter transferred to Jammu and Kashmir High Court on 19 April 2007.[ citation needed ] He served as acting Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court from 2 April 2012 to 8 June 2012. [1] Justice Singh became the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court on 1 November 2014 and retired on 7 October 2016. [2] After the retirement he was appointed the Chairperson of the Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) on 3 January 2017. [3] [4]

Sukhdev Singh Kang was the fourteenth Governor of Kerala from 25 January 1997 to 18 April 2002. He served as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court from 19 February 1979 till 23 October 1989 and was subsequently promoted and transferred as the Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, a post he held from 24 October 1989 to 14 May 1993. During his tenure E K Nayanar and A K Antony were the Chief Ministers of Kerala. Following his stint as the Governor of Kerala, he was appointed a member of the National Human Rights Commission 1993. He then retired.

Arjan Kumar Sikri is an eminent jurist and a former judge of the Supreme Court of India. He was sworn in as a Supreme Court judge on 12 April 2013. Earlier, he had served as the chief justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He retired as senior most puisne judge of Supreme Court of India on 6 March 2019.

The Central Government has approved the appointment of former Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Justice Ramalingam Sudhakar as the president of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for a period of five years in October 28, 2021. Justice Sudhakar has been appointed for a period of five years from the date of appointment or till he attains the age of 67 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Pradip Kumar Mohanty is an Indian attorney and Jurist currently serving as a Judicial Member of Lokpal Committee since 23 March 2019. He retired from the post on 23 March 2024. He is former Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.
