The Vuelta al Ecuador is a cycling race held annually in Ecuador. It was part of the UCI America Tour in category 2.2 from 2007 to 2010. [1] [2]

Luis Fernando Sepúlveda Villar is a male professional track and road racing cyclist from Chile. He won a gold medal for his native country at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He also competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics and the 2000 Summer Olympics.
Rafael Anibal Montiel Cuéllar is a Colombian professional road cyclist, who last rode for UCI Continental team Orgullo Paisa. On 29 April 2015, Montiel won the opening stage of the Tour of the Gila, after catching the breakaway on the slopes of the last climb and soloing to the mountaintop finish.

Richard Antonio Carapaz Montenegro is an Ecuadorian professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam EF Education–EasyPost. Carapaz won the 2019 Giro d'Italia, becoming the first Ecuadorian rider to win the race. In July 2021, he won the gold medal in the road race at the 2020 Summer Olympics, becoming the first Ecuadorian cyclist to win a medal and only the second Ecuadorian in any sport to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games. In doing so, he became the first cyclist to achieve an Olympic road race gold medal and a podium finish in each of the three Grand Tours.
