All Day with It is the third studio album by illScarlett, released on July 10, 2007. It was released in a standard edition containing one disk and as a limited edition which contained a second disk filled with bonus songs. illScarlett has gained growing popularity with this album and the first single, "Nothing Special", as the song reached #87 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100 and #1 on the MuchMusic Countdown. The second single was "Life of a Soldier" and the third single was "Who's Got It?"
Wake the Sleeper is the 21st studio album by the rock band Uriah Heep, released on 2 June 2008 in Europe and on 26 August 2008 in the United States. The announced September 2007 release was rescheduled as a result of the purchase of Sanctuary Records by Universal Music. This was to allow proper promotion of the album, rather than it be 'lost' during the changeover and, although frustrating for them, was something the band members supported. It is their first studio album since 1998's Sonic Origami. It is also their first album since 1980's Conquest without long-time drummer Lee Kerslake, who had to withdraw from the band due to ill health in 2007, putting an end to the band's longest-lasting lineup which existed for 21 years.
Changing of the Seasons is the fourth studio album by Norwegian singer-songwriter Ane Brun, released on 12 March 2008 in Norway and Sweden, 14 October 2008 in the US, and on 2 February 2009 in the UK. The album became her breakthrough record outside of Scandinavia when the bonus track "True Colors", a cover of the 1985 Cyndi Lauper song, was used in a television advertisement for Sky+ HD in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The other bonus track is a cover of Alphaville's 1984 hit single "Big in Japan", recorded as part of the soundtrack for the Swedish TV documentary programme Stor i Japan. The version of the album with the two bonus tracks was released in Europe on 7 December 2008 and in the UK in February 2009. The French release of the album on 12 October 2009 contained a third bonus track, a version in French of "Koop Island Blues", a song Brun originally recorded in 2006 with Swedish jazz group Koop.
Directions to See a Ghost is the second album from rock band The Black Angels. It was released digitally on April 15, 2008 by Light in the Attic Records. However, it was not until May 13 that the CD and 3xLP were released. Those who purchased the album digitally were given a code to download the album. On or after the date of release, it was to be brought back to the place of purchase in exchange for a hard copy of the album as well as a bonus four-song EP Black Angel Exit. Moreover, Directions to See a Ghost features the song "Doves" also available on the "Doves" single 7" released the same day. Unlike the CD, the 3xLP contains bonus tracks "Surf City (Revisited)" and "Paladin's Last Stand."
You Can Do Anything is the third album by the English rock band The Zutons. It was produced by Sunset Sound Studios in Los Angeles with producer George Drakoulias and was released on Monday 2 June 2008 in the United Kingdom. You Can Do Anything was released after the departure of original lead guitarist Boyan Chowdhury, and is the first album to feature the band's new lead guitarist Paul Molloy. The album was preceded by the first single "Always Right Behind You", which was released on 26 May 2008. It entered the Official UK Albums Chart at No.6.
Punkara is the sixth studio album by the collective Asian Dub Foundation. It was recorded with The Go! Team producer, Gareth Parton at The Fortress Studios, London. It is the first album released with new singer Al Rumjen formerly of King Prawn. There was an advanced release in Japan on 26 March 2008, and it was subsequently leaked worldwide. Punkara was released in the UK on the 13 October 2008 with a different track listing to the Japanese release which featured an exclusive bonus track. A video has been released for Burning Fence.
The Script is the debut album by Irish pop rock band the Script, which was released in the Republic of Ireland on 8 August 2008 and was released in the UK on 11 August 2008 by Phonogenic Records. Following success in the Republic of Ireland, the album was released elsewhere in Europe in September 2008. The album topped the UK charts and peaked at number 64 on the US Billboard 200 on 4 March 2010. The album was nominated for a Choice Music Prize-Irish Album of the Year 2008.
