WalFadjri is an independent daily newspaper published in Senegal. It is a French newspaper. [1] It was owned by Sidy Lamine Niasse. [2]
The flag of Senegal is a tricolour consisting of three vertical green, yellow and red bands charged with a five-pointed green star at the centre. Adopted in 1960 to replace the flag of the Mali Federation, it has been the flag of the Republic of Senegal since the country gained independence that year. The present and previous flags were inspired by French Tricolour, which flew over Senegal until 1960.
Saint Louis or Saint-Louis, known to locals as Ndar, is the capital of Senegal's Saint-Louis Region. Saint-Louis was the capital of the French colony of Senegal from 1673 until 1902 and French West Africa from 1895 until 1902, when the capital was moved to Dakar. From 1920 to 1957, it also served as the capital of the neighboring colony of Mauritania.
Moustapha Niasse is a Senegalese politician and diplomat who has been President of the National Assembly since 2012. He served in the government of Senegal as Foreign Minister of Senegal from 1978 to 1984 and again from 1993 to 1998. He was Prime Minister of Senegal for a few weeks in 1983, and he held that position again from 2000 to 2001.

Amadou Lamine-Guèye was a Senegalese politician who became leader of the Parti Sénégalais de l'Action Socialiste. In 1945 he and his associate, Léopold Sédar Senghor, were elected to represent Senegal in the French National Assembly. Gueye was also elected to the French Senate in 1958.
Diéné Diawara is a Malian women's basketball player with Limoges ABC of the French Ligue Féminine de Basketball. Diawara also competes for the Mali women's national basketball team. At the FIBA Africa Championship for Women 2007 in Senegal, she helped her squad win the tournament, qualifying it for Basketball at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Diawara was also the top rebounder of the tournament. She is the sister of Lamine Diawara and Nare Diawara.

He was an accomplished Islamic scholar, emerging from a long and vibrant legacy of Islamic learning in West Africa.
