Walter Atkinson (31 August 1920 - June 2009) was a professional footballer who played as a wing-half. [1]
He made a single appearance for Norwich City on 2 April 1952 against Southend United at Carrow Road, playing at right-half. He had previously played for Hexham Hearts. [2]
Mr. Bean is a British sitcom created by Rowan Atkinson and Richard Curtis, produced by Tiger Aspect and starring Atkinson as the eponymous title character. Glenn D. "Mike" Vosburg was an American football and basketball coach and college athletics administrator. He was the 17th head football coach at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, serving for one season, in 1922, and compiling a record of 1–7. Football legend Walter Camp stated that the 1922 squad had several good players but produced disappointing results. Vosburg was also the head basketball coach at Washburn in 1922–23, tallying a mark of 7–11. He was also and assistant coach for the Great Lakes Navy Bluejackets football team at Naval Station Great Lakes before coming to Washburn.
The 1975 VFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the North Melbourne Football Club and the Hawthorn Football Club, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on 27 September 1975. It was the 78th annual Grand Final of the Victorian Football League, staged to determine the premiers for the 1975 VFL season. The match, attended 110,551 spectators, was won by North Melbourne by a margin of 55 points, marking that club's first premiership victory. In doing so, it became the last of the 12 VFL teams to win a flag. The last time North had won a flag prior to that was back in 1918 when they were part of the Victorian Football Association.
Rowan Sebastian Atkinson is an English actor, comedian and writer. He played the title roles in the sitcoms Blackadder (1983–1989) and Mr. Bean (1990–1995), and in the film series Johnny English (2003–2018). Atkinson first came to prominence in the BBC sketch comedy show Not the Nine O'Clock News (1979–1982), receiving the 1981 British Academy Television Award for Best Entertainment Performance, and The Secret Policeman's Ball (1979) where he performed a skit. Subsequent skits on stage have featured solo performances as well as collaborations.
