Walter Rothensteiner is the Chairman of the Raiffeisen Zentralbank.

Rothensteiner completed his studies at the Vienna University of Economics. He began his professional career in 1975 as a member of management at the Raiffeisen Zentralbank in Vienna, Austria. In 1991, he joined the board of the Agrana Holding AG. In addition to his role in Raiffeisen Zentralbank and AGRANA, Rothensteiner held a position on the board of Leipnik-Invest AG from 1987 to 1995.

In January 1995, Rothensteiner joined RZB as Deputy Chairman of the Board and became Chairman of the Board within five months. Since June 1997, Rothensteiner worked for the Austrian Economic Chamber in their credit division and represented the Republic of Singapore as an honorary consul of Austria. [1] [2]

Hans Kloss (bank manager)

Hans Kloss was an Austrian lawyer and bank manager. Kloss was born in Vienna in 1905. After studying law and political science, he worked for Österreichische Luftverkehrs AG and between 1939 and 1945 for the Lufthansa. After the Second World War, he became a civil servant in the Ministry of Finance in 1946, and worked there in providing services to the Austrian finance industry and as a delegate to the International Monetary Fund. He also worked in the Finance Committee of the OECD and for the World Bank in Washington, D.C. In 1962 Kloss moved into the private banking sector as Director General of Genossenschaftlichen Zentralbank AG. In 1969, he was appointed Director General of Austria's central bank Oesterreichische Nationalbank, and served as its president from 1973 to 1978. He was cremated at Feuerhalle Simmering, where also his ashes are buried.

Raiffeisenlandesbank Oberösterreich AG is a credit institution and grouping of cooperative banks founded in the 1900s and headquartered in Linz, Austria. It is the central institution of the Raiffeisen Banking Group in Upper Austria and the largest of Austria's eight provincial central banks.
