Wamfie is a town located in the Bono Region of Ghana. It is the capital of Dormaa East District. The town is known for the Mansen Commercial Day Senior High School. [1] [2] [3] [4] The school is a second cycle institution. [5] It is located at an elevation of 289 meters above sea level and its population amounts to 41,345. Its coordinates are 7°18'0" N and 2°42'0" W. [6]

Nana Kwasi Ansu is the former chief of Wamfie. [7]

However, on 28 Juan 2012, the southwest part of the district was split off to create Dormaa West District; while the remaining part was elevated to municipal district assembly status on that same year to become Dormaa Central Municipal District. The municipality is located in the southwest part of Bono Region and has Dormaa Ahenkro as its capital town.

Kyeremasu or Cheremasu is a town in the Bono region of Ghana. Kyeremasu is situated northeast of Subinkrom and 8 km southwest of Wamfie. It is located at an elevation of 296 meters above sea level and its population amounts to 29,748. Kyeremasu currently has a King and queen mother. Kyeremasu is between Dormaa Ahenkro and Wamfie. The town can boost of Modern Police Station at Kyeremasu which serves the area and its neighboring communities to deal with security issues.
