Recognised as one of the greatest European actresses of all time, Ullmann is known as the muse and frequent partner of filmmaker Ingmar Bergman. Orion's Belt is a 1985 Norwegian dual-language, political action thriller film, directed by Ola Solum and Tristan de Vere Cole. It is based on Jon Michelet's 1977 novel by the same name. The film depicts three important episodes in the life of Fridtjof Nansen (Wigert): his North Pole expedition, his diplomatic work with the League of Nations and his humanitarian work during the 1930s famine in Ukraine.
Ola Solum was a Norwegian film director. In 1983, he directed the documentary Kamera går! – Norsk filmproduksjon gjennom 75 år. One of Norway's greatest directors, he was particularly known for Orion's Belt, which premièred in 1985 and won four Amanda Awards, including best Norwegian film of the year. He also wrote scripts for a number of Norwegian films.
Wayfarers is the first novel in the Wayfarers trilogy, also known as the August trilogy, by Knut Hamsun. It was first published in 1927. The novel portrays the wayfarers August and Edevart's experiences while they travel around in Norway for more or less random work. The trilogy continues with August three years later, and concludes with The Road Leads On in 1933.

The lead roles in the Norwegian version were played by Theodor Berge and Randi Brænne, whereas the Swedish version starred Carl Barcklind, Tutta Berntzen, and Bengt Djurberg.
Operasjon Cobra is a Norwegian thriller film from 1978 directed by Ola Solum. The film is about a Norwegian family living in Fornebu who are held captive in their own home by terrorists. The goal is to have a base near where the US secretary of state will pass during his visit to Norway. The film stars Anders Mordal, Wenche Medbøe, Ingrid Larsen, Roy Bjørnstad and Nils Ole Oftebro. The film is based on the novel Operation Cobra by the Danish writer Anders Bodelsen.
Streik! is a Norwegian docudrama from 1975, directed by Oddvar Bull Tuhus. The film is loosely based on Tor Obrestad's novel Sauda! Strike!, which is about the Sauda strike in 1970. It was the result of a collaboration between Marcusfilm and NRK's Television Theater. The film shows the event from the workers' point of view. It was staged in cinemas first, and then shown on NRK.
