The highway passes through communities like Adrian, where it intersects US Highway 223 (US 223), Chelsea and Webberville along its 127.3-mile-long (204.9 km) course. It crosses some major rivers, including the River Raisin and the Shiawassee. The section of the highway between M-50 and Manchester was built as a limited-access highway. M-52's northern terminus is at M-46, nine miles (14 km) west of Saginaw.

Farm to Market Road 969 is a 28.95-mile (46.59 km) state-maintained farm to market road located in Travis and Bastrop counties of the U.S. state of Texas of which 6.23 miles (10.03 km) are officially designated as Urban Road 969 in Austin but is still signed as FM 969. On November 15, 2018, TXDOT changed all urban roads back to their previous FM and RM designations. The original 1995 order was fully rescinded by Minute Order 115371.

It has 127,728 Trina Solar solar panels mounted on single-axis trackers, covers an area of 380 acres (150 ha), and was built at a cost of $250 million. It is expected to generate 61 GWh in the first year of operation, and 1.4 billion kWh over its 25 year life. Operation began on December 20, 2011, with a ribbon cutting by Austin mayor Lee Leffingwell on January 6, 2012.
