A drag queen is a person, usually male, who uses drag clothing and makeup to imitate and often exaggerate female gender signifiers and gender roles for entertainment purposes. Historically, drag queens have usually been gay men, and have been a part of gay culture.

In 2018, Peppermint made her debut in The Go-Go's-inspired musical Head Over Heels as Pythio, becoming Broadway's first out trans woman to originate a lead role.
Sang-Young Shin, known professionally as Kim Chi, is a Korean-American drag queen, artist, entrepreneur, and television personality best known for competing on the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race. Kim Chi was the first Korean-American contestant on the show as well as the first Korean-American drag queen on American national television. She owns the beauty brand Kim Chi Chic Cosmetics.
Ryan A. Taylor, known professionally as Trinity "The Tuck" Taylor or just Trinity the Tuck, is an American drag queen, television personality, and recording artist best known for competing on the ninth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and for winning the fourth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, shared with Monét X Change. She went by Trinity "the Tuck" Taylor on her original season, but on the first episode of All Stars, she indicated that she would henceforth go simply by Trinity the Tuck.
Thorgy Thor is the stage name of Shane Thor Galligan, an American drag queen and musician who came to international attention on the eighth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and on the third season of All Stars.
Kylie Sonique Love, formerly known as Sonique, is an American entertainer, singer, dancer, model and reality television personality. She rose to prominence as a contestant on the second season of RuPaul's Drag Race in 2009, and achieved further popularity by winning the sixth season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars eleven years later in 2021. Love was the first person to ever come out as transgender on any reality TV show. Upon winning All Stars 6, Love became the second trans woman to win an installment of the Drag Race franchise, and was the first to win an American series. Additionally, in 2020, she co-hosted Translation Season 1, the first talk show on a major network hosted by an all-trans cast. Her first single, "Santa, Please Come Home", was released in 2018.
Icesis Couture is the stage name of Steven Granados-Portelance, a Canadian drag queen who won the second season of Canada's Drag Race in 2021. She later returned to compete on the first season of the spin-off series, Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs. the World, in 2022.

Call Me Mother is a Canadian reality television series, which premiered on OutTV in 2021. Hosted by Entertainment Tonight Canada reporter Dallas Dixon, the series is a drag competition which will see up-and-coming drag performers join one of three drag houses to compete in group challenges, with one drag artist eliminated each week until the winner of the competition is crowned the "First Child of Drag".

The second season of Call Me Mother premiered on October 26, 2022. The cast was announced on September 23, 2022. All three drag mothers from the first season, Peppermint, Crystal and Barbada de Barbades, are returning; Farra N. Hyte is also returning as a non-mentoring judge, alongside new judge Landon Cider in place of the first season's Miss Butterfly.
Toddy is a Canadian comedian, drag performer, and opera singer who won the first season of Call Me Mother. Toddy started in Toronto's drag king scene, and is now based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Named after their childhood teddy bear, Toddy is non-binary.
Makayla Couture is a Canadian drag queen who competed on the second season of Call Me Mother and will compete on the fifth season of Canada's Drag Race.
Sanjina DaBish Queen is a drag performer who competed on the first season of Call Me Mother and will compete on the upcoming fifth season of Canada's Drag Race.
