Wenche Lyngholm (born 13 May 1951 in Moss) is a Norwegian politician for the Socialist Left Party.
She was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Østfold in 1989, but was not re-elected in 1993.
When the Socialist Left Party entered the Cabinet in 2005, Lyngholm was appointed State Secretary in the Ministry of Government Administration and Reform.

SV supports a strong public sector, stronger social welfare programs, environmentalism, and republicanism. Lars Haltbrekken is a Norwegian environmentalist and was elected to the Parliament of Norway in 2017 for the Socialist Left Party. He was chairman of Friends of the Earth Norway from 2005 to 2016 after having been deputy chairman from 2003 to 2005. Haltbrekken was also chairman of Natur og Ungdom in 1995 and 1996. In between the two leaderships he worked primarily trying to prevent natural gas power plants in Norway, and was chairman of Fellesaksjonen mot gasskraftverk. He grew up in Trondheim.
The Red Party is a communist political party in Norway. It was founded in March 2007 by a merger of the Red Electoral Alliance and the Workers' Communist Party. A Marxist party, it has been described as left-wing and far-left on the political spectrum. In its political programme, the Red Party sets the creation of a classless society to be its ultimate goal, which the party says is "what Karl Marx called communism". The party's other goals are replacing capitalism with socialism, an expansive public sector and nationalisation of large enterprises. It has a revolutionary socialist ideology, which aims towards new legislatures taking power on behalf of the workers, though the party does not support violent armed revolution as espoused by its predecessors in the 1970s and 1980s. It strongly opposes Norway becoming a member of the European Union.

He held the post as Minister of Children and Equality in Jens Stoltenberg's second government from October 2009 to March 2012, when he resigned due to a conflict of interest. Under his leadership, the Socialist Left Party had strong gains in its vote share in Parliamentary elections and membership.

Wenche Olsen is a Norwegian politician and member of the Storting who represents the Norwegian Labour Party. Olsen was nominated as the Labour Party's fourth candidate for Østfold at the 2009 Norwegian parliamentary election, and won a seat after a strong performance in that county. Her issues in the campaign were on healthcare, in particular she supported the construction of a new hospital in Halden.
