Wesley Frazier (born September 3, 1995) is a runner. She set the North Carolina female high-school mile in 2012. [1] In June 2013 she became the first girl ever to win the mile, two mile and 5000 metres during a single high-school national-championship meet. [2] [3] [4] [5] She was the only runner in the field to attempt all three races. [2] It was the third year she had competed in all three. [4] She set a national sophomore record in 2011. [4]

Steve Scott (runner)

Steve Scott is an American former track athlete and one of the greatest mile runners in American history. The silver medalist in the 1500 meters at the inaugural IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Helsinki in 1983, Scott owns the U.S. indoor record in the 2000 meters (4:58.6-1981). He held the American outdoor mile record for more than 26 years and also is the former American indoor record holder in the same event. Patricia Susan "PattiSue" Plumer is an American former middle-distance and long-distance runner. She is a two-time Olympian, finishing 13th in the 3000-m final in 1988 in Seoul, before going on to finish 10th in the 1500-m final and fifth in the 3000-m final in 1992 in Barcelona. She won the 3000 meters title at the 1990 Goodwill Games. Her 5000-m best of 15:00.00 in 1989 is a former American record.

Lukas Verzbicas is an American triathlete. A prominent high school track and cross country runner, Verzbicas holds the U.S. high school national record in the 2 mile with a time of 8:29.46. He was also the fifth of only twelve American high school boys to run a sub four-minute mile, running 3:59.71 at the end of his senior year of high school.

Donn Cabral American steeplechase runner (born 1989)

Donald "Donn" Cabral is an American cross country and track runner from Connecticut who went on to star at Princeton University. He has been most successful in the steeplechase, but has also been a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) All-American in cross country and the 5000 meters, as well as the Ivy League champion at the 3000 meters. He is the current American collegiate steeplechase record holder and was the 2012 NCAA steeplechase champion. He competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics in the steeplechase. At Princeton, Cabral was an eight-time NCAA All-American and ten-time individual Ivy League champion. He was a long distance running champion in high school for Glastonbury High School, winning two Class LL championships as a sophomore and then open state and New England championships as a junior and senior.

Mary Cecilia Cain is an American professional middle distance runner from Bronxville, New York. Cain was the 2014 World Junior Champion in the 3000 meter event. She is the youngest American athlete ever to represent the United States at a World Championships meet after competing in the 2013 World Championships in Athletics in Moscow aged 17 and 3 months.

Julie Shea is a runner and politician. While at Gibbons High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, she was the first Track and Field News "High School Athlete of the Year" in 1977 While in track and field at North Carolina State she became, in 1980 and 1981, the only female athlete honored with the Anthony J. McKevlin Award noting athlete of the year in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Oxbow, an American Thoroughbred racehorse, is best known for winning the second jewel in the United States Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing, the 2013 Preakness Stakes. A bay colt, sired by a winner of the Breeders' Cup Classic and out of a full sister to another Breeders' Cup Classic winner, Oxbow was sold as a yearling at Keeneland for $250,000 and is owned by Brad Kelley of Calumet Farm. He was trained by D. Wayne Lukas and was ridden in his Triple Crown races by Gary Stevens.

Andrea Norris is an American track and field athlete who competes in the long jump and triple jump. Norris won the American title in 2013. She has personal records of 6.70 m and 14.18 m, respectively.

Edward Cheserek Kenyan distance runner

Edward Cheserek is a Kenyan distance runner. He is a 17-time NCAA champion collegiate distance runner for the University of Oregon. Cheserek was the most highly recruited high school distance runner in the nation out of Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in New Jersey where he was named the Gatorade 2012-2013 National Cross Country Runner of the Year. In 2013, Cheserek became the first freshman in Oregon history to win the NCAA National Cross Country Championships. Cheserek repeated this feat in his sophomore and junior years at Oregon before coming in third in the race in 2016 during his senior year. In total, Cheserek has 17 NCAA National Titles, including two indoor distance medley relays and one cross-country team title.

Andrés Gabriel Arroyo Dominicci is a Puerto Rican middle-distance track athlete who specializes in various events. He competed for Puerto Rico at the Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships in Athletics in 2012 and 2014. He also appeared at the 2013 IAAF World Cross Country Championships, where he ran the junior men's race.

Grant Fisher Canadian-born American distance runner

Grant Fisher is a Canadian-born American distance runner. As a high-schooler, he was named Gatorade Player of the Year for cross country for the 2013–2014 and 2014–2015 seasons. He committed to Stanford University on November 16, 2014. On June 4, 2015, he became the seventh American high school student to run a mile under four minutes. Fisher represented the United States at the 2014 World Junior Championships in Athletics in the 1500-meter race.

Dennis Smith Jr. American basketball player

Dennis Cliff Smith Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He attended NC State University for one season of college basketball and earned second-team all-conference honors in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) as a freshman as well as ACC Freshman of the Year. After the season, Smith decided to forgo his remaining college eligibility and declared for the 2017 NBA draft. He was selected ninth overall by the Dallas Mavericks.

Allie Ostrander American long-distance runner

Allison "Allie" Ostrander is an American long-distance runner from Soldotna, Alaska. The repeat NCAA Division I steeplechase champion in 2017, 2018 and 2019, she competed for the Boise State University Broncos. In July 2019, Ostrander announced her plans to forgo her final season of NCAA eligibility and begin running professionally.
