The West Somerset ALTS Tournament [1] also known as the West Somersetshire Tournament was a late Victorian period combined men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1879, [2] and held for five editions only until 1883. [3] The event was organised by the West Somerset Archery and Lawn Tennis Society, and was held at Batts Park, Taunton, Somerset, England.

The 1880 men's tennis season was the fifth amateur tennis tour held that year. It now incorporated 44 tournaments staged in Australia, Great Britain and Ireland and the United States. The 1880 Wimbledon Championships was won by John Hartley against Herbert Lawford, in the Challenge Round.

The Exmouth Open, originally called the Exmouth Lawn Tennis Club Tournament or simply Exmouth Tournament, was a men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1880. The All Ireland Lawn Tennis Championships. or simply called The Irish Championships was a Victorian period combined men's and women's grass court tennis tournament first staged July 1876. This event was organised by the All Ireland Lawn Tennis Club that was under auspices of the Irish Champion Athletic Club (I.C.A.C.). The tournament was held at Champion Ground, Lansdowne, Dublin, Ireland. The championships ended around 1878.

The South Saxons Open Tournament was an late 19th century and early 20th century combined men's and women's tennis tournament founded in 1880 as the St. Leonards on Sea Lawn Tennis Tournament. The first edition was played on grass courts Archery Gardens, St. Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex, England. It was the precursor tournament to the later Hastings and St. Leonards Open Lawn Tennis Tournament.

The Macclesfield Open also known as the South Park Tournament was a combined men's and women's grass court tennis tournament founded in 1881 as the Macclesfield Open Lawn Tennis Tournament. The tournament was organised by the Macclesfield Lawn Tennis Club and played at Macclesfield, Cheshire, England annually until 1967 when it was discontinued.
