5566 was a Taiwanese boy band, formed under Taiwanese music company, J-Star. The name is derived from their original five members, working in six entertainment fields. Over the course of their career, they have starred in three idol dramas: My MVP Valentine, Westside Story, and Mr. Fighting. They have also released four albums: 1st Album, Boyfriend, Long Time No See, and Bravo; two compilation albums: C'est Si Bon Greatest Hits, I Love 56 - Re-emerging Legends: 5 Years Greatest Hits; and taken part in four OSTs: My MVP Valentine OST, Westside Story soundtrack, Mr. Fighting OST, and Ying Ye 3 Jia 1.

Chthonic is a Taiwanese heavy metal band, formed in 1995 in Taipei. They have been called "the Black Sabbath of Asia." The group incorporates influences from traditional Taiwanese music, including adaptations of folk songs and the use of traditional instruments, most notably the erhu. Their stated goal is to use their music to bring ancient history and mythology into the modern era especially to build awareness of the myths of Taiwan and tragic events in that country's history.
Cobra was an all-female rock band from Beijing, China. The band formed in 1989, becoming the first all-female rock band in mainland China. With only one album out, they disbanded in the late 1990s. Their style was a gloomy, bluesy type of hard rock with slight touches of new wave and alternative metal. Cobra was very popular in the beginning of their career.

Freddy Lim Tshiong-tso is a Taiwanese independent politician, musician, and independence activist. He is the lead vocalist of the Taiwanese heavy-metal band Chthonic. and the lead vocalist of the band Metal Clone X started by him and American guitarist Marty Friedman. Lim served as chair of Amnesty International Taiwan from 2010 to 2014. He was one of the founding leaders of the New Power Party (NPP) in Taiwan and represented the party in the Legislative Yuan until 2019. Lim won a second legislative term as an independent in 2020.

Xiao Juan and Residents From the Valley (小娟和山谷里的居民) is a Chinese folk band founded in 1998, with Wang Xiujuan as lead singer. She was born in Wuhan, Hubei province, and started to sing when she was 3 years old. She studied finance and law, but decided to have a career as a singer. In 1993, she came to Beijing as a university student, and started to write songs. She became a full-time singer/songwriter a year later. She first was the lead singer of the electronica duo Gemini Trip. Xiao Juan is handicapped and cannot travel very comfortably.

Bú-Tik is the group's third record to be released through Spinefarm Records, and their second to have been produced and mixed by Rickard Bengtsson.
