Whyzdom is a French symphonic metal band from Paris. The band was formed by Vynce Leff in 2007. As of 2021, they have released five full-length albums, one EP and one DVD.
The band was founded in 2007 by guitarist Vynce Leff, known as a producer of several progressive rock albums for Cyclops Records. [1] They released their first EP Daughter of the Night on 29 February 2008, less than 6 months after formation. [2] The band has been considered the Best French Band 2008 for this EP. [3] They have also performed at the Metal Female Voices Fest 2008 in Belgium. [4] Whyzdom's first full-length album was named From the Brink of Infinity and was released on 21 September 2009 on Ascendance Records.
In June 2010, lead vocalist Telya Melane left the band. Lisa Middelhauve, former Xandria singer, was accepted as guest lead vocalist for the band performance at the Raismes Fest 2010, and for their concert in Paris as support for Tarja Turunen. Clementine Delauney was part of the band for concerts of 2011.
Since then, the band composed and recorded their new album Blind ? with temporary vocalist Elvyne Lorient, which was released on 30 October 2012 by the Italian Metal label Scarlet Records. The album was produced by Vynce Leff, recorded and mixed at Powermania Studio in Paris. [5] Marie Rouyer became their new front woman in January 2013 and toured with the band to promote this album.
On 11 January 2014, it was announced that the band began recording their third album with Marie Rouyer. [5] The album titled Symphony For A Hopeless God was released on 17 February 2015 on Scarlet Records.
A first DVD was released on 30 March 2016, based on their appearance on the main stage of the Female Metal Event 2015 in Eindhoven. The next live appearance on the stage of an international festival was at the Metal Female Voices Fest XIII on 23 October 2016, with Tarja Turunen as headliner.
The fourth album As Time Turns to Dust was released by Scarlet Records on 6 April 2018.
The line-up changes before the recording of the fifth album. Marc Ruhlmann and Tristan Demurger leave the band. Régis Morin records all the guitars of the album and Vynce becomes the bass player. The fifth album Of Wonders And Wars was released by Scarlet Records on 17 September 2021.
Nightwish is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Kitee. The band was formed in 1996 by lead songwriter and keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen, guitarist Emppu Vuorinen, and former lead singer Tarja Turunen. The band soon picked up drummer Jukka Nevalainen, and then bassist Sami Vänskä after the release of their debut album, Angels Fall First (1997). In 2001, Vänskä was replaced by Marko Hietala, who also took over the male vocalist role previously filled by Holopainen or guest singers. Although Nightwish have been prominent in their home country since Angels Fall First, they did not achieve wider success until the release of the albums Oceanborn (1998), Wishmaster (2000) and Century Child (2002).
Tarja Soile Susanna Turunen-Cabuli, known professionally as Tarja Turunen or simply Tarja, is a Finnish heavy metal singer, best known as the former lead vocalist of Nightwish.
Tuomas Lauri Johannes Holopainen is a Finnish musician, songwriter, and record producer, best known as the primary songwriter, keyboardist, and a co-founding member of symphonic metal band Nightwish. He has stated that his songwriting is influenced by harmonic film music.

Sadist is an Italian death metal band formed in Genoa, Italy, in January 1991. It debuted with Black Screams in 1991, then released three albums. The band went on hiatus after releasing the album Lego in 2000. They reunited in 2005 and released their self-titled album in 2007. Sadist has released three more albums since then. In total, the band has released nine albums and one EP. They are currently signed to Scarlet Records. Guitarist and keyboardist, Tommy Talamanca, has been a constant member throughout the band's existence, as the main composer and co-producer of their musical output. Trevor Nadir has been the main singer of the band since 1996.
Serenity is an Austrian symphonic power metal band, originally formed back in 2001. They became a more stable group with a consistent line-up in 2004, when it also began using more progressive and power influences than earlier. They have defined their genre with more melodic and symphonic metal elements.

Once Upon a Tour was a concert tour by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish, in 2004 and 2005, to promote the release of their fifth album, Once, released June 7, 2004. A new greatest hits compilation, Highest Hopes, was also released to tie in with the tour. The albums combined with the band's most expansive merchandise campaign by Nuclear Blast Records meant this tour was heralded as the band's most important in many years. Many of the band's songs had not been played in a long time.
Kells was a symphonic metal band out of Lyon, France, formed in 2001 by vocalist Virginie Goncalves, guitarist Patrick Garcia, and keyboardist Fabrice Desire. Since then Fabrice has left the band while Julien Nicolas and Laurent Lesina were added as the band's drummer and bassist respectively. They have played at the Metal Female Voices Festival and been main support for Epica and Tarja. They have released three albums. Their first album, Gaia, was produced by AVFP Production and released in 2005, and their second album, Lueurs, was produced by Season of Mist and released in 2009. Their third album, Anachromie, was released in 2012. In April 2015, Virginie, Patrick and Kevin were forced out of the band.

"Paradise " is a single and studio EP by Dutch symphonic metal band Within Temptation from their sixth studio album Hydra. It was released on 27 September 2013 with three songs from the upcoming album in their demo versions and also accompanying a music video. The song features former Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen. Beside its digital release, the EP was also released as a physical CD in Japan. A new mix of the song was later released in Turunen's album The Brightest Void.
Clémentine Delauney is a French singer with a soprano vocal range who is currently singing for the symphonic metal bands Visions of Atlantis and Exit Eden. Previously she was the female backing vocalist for Austrian symphonic power metal band Serenity and the vocalist of French philharmonic metal band Whyzdom.
