Lion is an alcoholic beverage company that operates in Australia and New Zealand, and a subsidiary of Japanese beverage conglomerate Kirin. Garage Project is an independent New Zealand brewery based in Aro Valley, Wellington. The brewery was founded in 2011 by brothers Ian and Pete Gillespie and Jos Ruffell, who turned a dilapidated car garage to brewing 50 litres at a time and more recently to producing 24 new beers in 24 weeks. Beervana is an annual two-day beer festival in Wellington, New Zealand, with 14,000 – 16,000 visitors attending. Typically there are 350–450 different craft beers.
