Ride the Wild Surf is a 1964 American romantic drama film. It was filmed in 1963 and distributed in 1964. Unlike the beach party movies of the era, this was a departure from the typical Hollywood approach to surfing as it was a drama, not a comedy. It is known for its exceptional big wave surf footage – a common sight in surf movies of the time, but a rarity in Hollywood films. Likewise, the film has only one pop song – the titular Jan and Dean track, which is heard once, at the end of the film.

Wendell & Wild is a 2022 American stop motion-animated horror comedy film directed by Henry Selick from a screenplay written by Selick and Jordan Peele, based on Selick's and Clay McLeod Chapman's unpublished book of the same name. It stars Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele as the titular characters with Angela Bassett, Lyric Ross, James Hong, and Ving Rhames in supporting roles. This was Selick's first feature film since Coraline (2009).
Jasmine Road is a Canadian drama film, directed by Warren Sulatycky and released in 2020. The film stars Greg Ellwand as Mac Bagley, a rancher in rural southern Alberta who has been emotionally closed off since the death of his wife; after his schoolteacher daughter Loretta learns that her student Heba, a Syrian refugee who came to Canada with her mother Layla and uncle Salem, needs to find a new place to live, she invites the family to stay at the ranch, with Mac's initial resistance to the idea giving way to acceptance and a new lease on life as he gets to know them.
Until Branches Bend is a Canadian drama film, directed and written by Sophie Jarvis, and released in 2022. The film stars Grace Glowicki as Robin, a cannery worker who finds what she believes to be an invasive insect inside of a locally-grown peach, and must convince the community to take the threat seriously.
