Will Loconto is a musician, composer, and producer based in Austin, Texas. He is the lead vocalist/songwriter for the U.S. band T42, was a keyboardist for the band Information Society, and has composed music for various video game soundtracks including Daikatana . [1] [2] [3]
In 1989, Loconto replaced Jimron Goff as lead vocalist for the band T42, [3] [4] a Dallas area band that began in the Deep Ellum music scene in the late 1980s. [4]
Loconto quit T42 in 1993 in order to be the keyboardist in the synth band Information Society. [1] [2] [3]
Loconto left Information Society to work for Dallas-based computer game developer Ion Storm as a sound designer and composer. He was part of the initial design team for the game John Romero’s Daikatana . [1] [2] [5] He left Ion Storm in November 1998 and co-founded PC and video game developer Third Law Interactive, distributed by publishing company Gathering of Developers the same year. [5] Through Third Law Interactive, Loconto developed sound and music for Kiss: Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child . [5] [6]
In 2001, he founded Will Loconto Music and Sound, and audio production company for games, television, and film. [7]
T42 reunited in 2011 to release the album Voltage! and play several live shows. [4] [8] In August 2017, T42 released Hot On Top (Remastered), a remastered version of the 1989 cassette that led to their signing with Columbia Records. [9] Decoder, their first new music since 1992 was released in October 2017. [10] As of 2019, T42 is still playing live shows. [11]

Under the in-game name KillCreek, she was known as one of the first well-known female esports players, gaining recognition for beating Quake designer John Romero in a Quake deathmatch. Chiptune, also known as chip music, is a style of synthesized electronic music made using the programmable sound generator (PSG) sound chips or synthesizers in vintage arcade machines, computers and video game consoles. The term is commonly used to refer to tracker format music which intentionally sounds similar to older PSG-created music, as well as music that combines PSG sounds with modern musical styles. It has been described as "an interpretation of many genres" since any existing song can be arranged in a chiptune style defined more by choice of instrument and timbre than specific style elements.
John Romero's Daikatana is a first-person shooter video game developed by Ion Storm for Microsoft Windows and Nintendo 64, and released in 2000. The Game Boy Color game of the same name released the same year is entirely different, being a top-down action-adventure game by Japanese studio Kemco. The game is split into four episodes, each representing a different time period, and is centred around the conflict between two rival clans, the Ebihara and Mishima. During development, the game initially had the original Quake engine; however, this was switched to the Quake II engine, causing the game to be delayed. Close to release, the promotion for the game focused on the lead developers and the studio, and one notorious aspect of the promotion was a poster with the phrase "John Romero's About To Make You His Bitch". A PlayStation version had been planned but was cancelled during development.
Alfonso John Romero is an American director, designer, programmer, and developer in the video game industry. He is best known as a co-founder of id Software and designer for many of their games, including Wolfenstein 3D, Dangerous Dave, Hexen, Doom, Doom II and Quake. His game designs and development tools, along with new programming techniques created and implemented by id Software's lead programmer John D. Carmack, led to a mass popularization of the first-person shooter, or FPS, in the 1990s. He is credited with coining the FPS multiplayer term "deathmatch".

DragonForce are a British power metal band from London, England. The Dead Space Original Soundtrack is the official soundtrack album to the 2008 survival horror video game Dead Space. Released on November 11, 2008 by Electronic Arts, the album features 17 tracks from the game composed by Jason Graves. The soundtrack was compiled from over three hours of music from the game, performed by the Northwest Sinfonia and the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra and recorded at Bastyr Chapel and Skywalker Sound Scoring Stage in Redwood Shores, California.
