William Edward Marsh (10 September 1917 - 6 February 1978) was a Welsh cricketer. Marsh was a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He was born at Newbridge,Monmouthshire. He was educated at Monmouth School. [1]
Marsh made his first-class debut for Glamorgan in 1947 against Middlesex. He played 3 further first-class matches for the county in the 1935 season,with his final appearance coming against Worcestershire. [2] In his 4 first-class matches,Marsh took 8 wickets at a bowling average of 36.25,with best figures of 3/70. [3]
Marsh died at Newbridge,Monmouthshire on 6 February 1978.

Malcolm Andrew Nash was a Welsh cricket player and coach. He played first-class cricket for Glamorgan. Nash was a left-arm medium-pace bowler and useful lower-order left-handed batsman. He made his debut for the county in 1966 and was released by the county after the 1983 season. He captained the county in 1980 and 1981. He took the most wickets for Glamorgan in 1969 when it won the county championship. In 1985,he played his last one-day match for Shropshire. Between 1966 and 1983 in his 17 years career,Nash took 993 first-class wickets,scored 7,129 runs and held 148 catches. He died on 30 July 2019 in London at the age of 74 years.
Harold Edward Gilbert,known as Eddie Gilbert,was an Australian Aboriginal cricketer who represented Queensland in the Sheffield Shield. He was described as an exceptionally fast bowler. He competed for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield between 1930 and 1936. Jack Marsh was an Australian first-class cricketer of Australian Aboriginal descent who represented New South Wales in six matches from 1900–01 to 1902–03. A right-arm fast bowler of extreme pace,Marsh was blessed with high athletic qualities and was regarded as one of the outstanding talents of his era. His career was curtailed by continual controversy surrounding the legality of his bowling action;he was no-balled multiple times for throwing. As a result of the debate over the legitimacy of his action,Marsh never established himself at first-class level and was overlooked for national selection. In contemporary discourse,Marsh's lack of opportunities has often been attributed to racial discrimination.

The Magdalen Ground was a cricket ground in Oxford,England. The ground was owned by the University of Oxford and used by Magdalen College,a constituent college of the University of Oxford. Originally forming the northern point of Cowley Marsh,the ground was initially associated with the Magdalen College School,whose students played cricket there. By 1829,the Oxford University Cricket Club had been given a part of the marsh where the College School played cricket. In 1851,it was purchased at auction by the University of Oxford and leased to the University Cricket Club. The ground operated as a first-class cricket venue from 1829 to 1880,hosting 69 first-class matches. The University Cricket Club left the ground following the 1880 season to play at the University Parks from 1881.
