While studying recorded music production and general arts and science at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario, he hinted at a later political career by serving as General Arts and Sciences Member At Large. He then moved to Toronto to pursue acting and a music career.
His first release with his band Timeline was entitled Living on the Timeline and released on Random Records in 1986. Two solo albums followed, Better Times in 1988 and Slapped in the Face by a Rainbow in 1990. Some of these tracks were featured on New Stuff new artist samplers.
Randall's travels and humanitarian work have led him from Israeli Kibbutz to Goa, India seniors homes, animal shelters and kindergartens and Nicaraguan schools outside Managua, where he worked as a volunteer with The Canadian Light Brigade.
Settling down in wine country in Lincoln, Ontario, Randall was first elected as a town Alderman in 2000. He was then elected as Councillor for Ward Four in 2006.
In 2004 he co-wrote the track "Love Crime" with fellow Fanshawe College alumna Emm Gryner for CBC Radio's All for a Song CD.
In 2017 he wrote "All The Same" for Momentum Special Needs Choir who performed it at their year-end gala.

The Music Industry Arts Program at Fanshawe College trains students for careers in the contemporary music industry. It was started in 1970 as Creative Electronics by former Radio Caroline DJ Tom Lodge, but when the college demanded that Creative Electronics become a career program, Lodge had the students build a recording studio, gathered music industry executives for an advisory group and changed the name of the program to Music Industry Arts. The program has been the starting point for hundreds of acclaimed recording engineers, record producers, live performers, sound editors and entertainment industry executives. The program is highly competitive, receiving over 800 applications every year with only about 115 students being accepted. Students in the MIA program are also eligible for membership in a Student Section of the Audio Engineering Society.

Lisa Patterson is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, performer, producer/engineer and educator. A classically trained musician, she went directly from high school to study audio engineering and production at Fanshawe College, London, Ontario, and later attended Toronto’s York University as a performance major focusing on South Indian music, Composition and Contemporary Improvisation. She has been active as a side musician and solo recording artist touring in North America, India, Mexico, Europe and the Middle East. Chris Wardman is a Canadian music producer, musician and songwriter. Wardman was a founding member of Blue Peter, and was their lead guitarist and main contributing songwriter. Wardman was also a member of Breeding Ground in the late 1980s. Wardman has been actively producing albums for many Canadian acts, including Chalk Circle, Leslie Spit Treeo, Randy Bachman and Emm Gryner. Wardman produced two albums for Art Bergmann, including Sexual Roulette in 1990. Meryn Cadell's most recent new release, 1997's 6 Blocks, was produced by Wardman, for which he hired, among others, former bandmate Jason Sniderman, and he performed on the album as well. The Watchmen credit Wardman with discovering them while playing at the Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, and he produced their debut album, McLaren Furnace Room, which was certified gold in Canada in 1996. In his review of the album on Allmusic, Roch Parisien complimented Wardman's mix of the album for how he balanced lead singer Danny Greaves' vocals with the music production.

Trent Severn was a Canadian folk trio composed of Emm Gryner, Dayna Manning, and Lindsay Schindler. Founded in 2011, all of its members shared vocal duties and contributed to the songwriting process. They released their self-titled debut album in November 2012, under the imprint Dead Daisy Records. The band was nominated for two 2013 Canadian Folk Music Awards, and toured and performed around Canada until announcing a hiatus on January 21, 2019.
