Wim van Sinderen (born 10 January 1958) is a Dutch journalist and curator, working as photography curator at the Fotomuseum Den Haag. [1]

Live and work

Van Sinderen was born in Dokkum on January 10, 1958. From 1976 to 1982 he attended the Teacher Training College 'Ubbo Emmius' in Leeuwarden, where he received his BA in English language and literature and Fine Arts.

In 1981 Van Sinderen came into prominence as spokesman of a young artist group, called Jonge Friezen. [2] A year earlier they had started a new cultural magazine, called Het Bestaan (The Existence). [3] He took part is several exhibitions in those days [4] and published his first book. [5]

In 1982 Van Sinderen started his career as Photo Editor for the Amsterdam music magazine Vinyl. He was curator at the Kunsthal from the start in April 1992, where he worked with the director Wim van Krimpen. In 2002 he started as Senior Curator at Fotomuseum Den Haag. [6] [7]

Jacobus Deketh was a captain in the Frisian Admiralty, one of the five admiralties of the Dutch Republic. In 1744 at the age of 18, Deketh joined the Admiralty of Amsterdam. He became a lieutenant and later extraordinary captain and sailed to the Dutch East Indies. In 1758, Deketh continued his career in the Frisian Admiralty. He became captain of a ship, Edam. He was appointed full captain of the Frisian Admiralty in 1760.

Jan Erik Vollebregt is a sailor from the Netherlands who represented his native country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston, Ontario. With twin brother Sjoerd Vollebregt as crew, Vollebregt finished 14th in the Sailing at the 1976 Summer Olympics – Flying Dutchman. Since in 1980 the Netherlands boycotted the Moscow Olympics, Vollebregt represented his National Olympic Committee under the Dutch NOC flag in the Flying Dutchman. Again with his brother as crew, he took 7th place.

Frank de Vos is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston, Ontario, Canada as substitute for the Dutch Flying Dutchman team of Erik Vollebregt and Sjoerd Vollebregt. In 1980 De Vos returned to the 1980 Summer Olympics, which was boycotted by several countries, as substitute for the Dutch Flying Dutchman.

Theodorus Antonius Hubertus Maria (Theo) Dobbelman was a Dutch sculptor, ceramist and painter.
