Winston Howard Hines (born February 13, 1990) [1] is an American reality television personality primarily knowing for appearing on the twentieth season of Big Brother and the first season of Love Island both as a contestant. Hines also briefly appeared on the twenty-first season of Big Brother and Off the Block with Ross and Marissa , a Big Brother aftershow.

Life and occupation

Winston Hines was born in Somerset, Kentucky and lived in Bowling Green, Kentucky at the time of entering the Big Brother house. [2] Hines is currently a medical sales representative. [3]

Big Brother

Big Brother 20

Winston Hines was first announced to be competing on the twentieth season of Big Brother when the cast was released on June 18, 2018. [4] Hines entered the Big Brother 20 house on Day 1. [5] On Day 17, Hines, along with fellow HouseGuest Scottie Salton, were nominated for eviction by then Head of Household Kaitlyn Herman. [6] Salton was removed from the nomination block by Power of Veto holder Tyler Crispen, Herman then nominated Chris "Swaggy C" Williams in his place. [7] During the eviction, Williams was evicted by a vote of eight to four leaving Hines in the game for another week. [8] Hines was then put up for eviction on Day 24 for the second consecutive week, this time alongside alliance member Brett Robinson by Salton who won the previous Head of Household competition. [9] When Salton also won the week's Power of Veto, he chose not to use it, leaving Hines and Robinson up for eviction. [10] On Day 30, Hines was on the minority side of the six to five vote against Robinson and was evicted from the Big Brother house; he was the third HouseGuest to be evicted from the house, finishing in fourteenth place. [11]

Following his eviction Hines appeared in the fourth episode of Off the Block with Ross and Marissa where he was interviewed by Celebrity Big Brother first season alum Ross Mathews and guest co-host Lance Bass about his time in the house. [12] Hines also appeared in the Off the Block with Ross and Marissa finale where he was once again interviewed by Mathews along with co-host Marissa Jaret Winokur about his thoughts on the Big Brother 20 finale. [13] Hines appeared in the sixth episode of Big Brother 21 alongside Big Brother 20 HouseGuests Robinson, Williams, and Bayleigh Dayton as a promotion for the then soon to premiere CBS series Love Island that went along with the episodes Power of Veto competition. Love Island

On July 15, 2019, Hines was confirmed to be competing in the first season of CBS reality series Love Island . [15] Hines entered the villa in the second week on Day 9 as a late-arrival. [16] After joining the villa Hines was given immunity from the second week's second dumping and the third week's first dumping as he was not in a couple at the time. [17] [18] On Day 15, a recoupling took place allowing Winston his first chance to be in a couple; however, with the girls in control, he was not picked and was therefore dumped from the island. [19]
