Wisnu Witono Adhi (born September 9, 1983 in Jakarta, Indonesia [1] [2] ) is a Norwegian singer. In 2006 he took part in the Norwegian Idol , where he reached the finals, [2] finishing fifth overall.

A1 are a British-Norwegian boy band that formed in 1998. The original line-up consists of Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen, Mark Read and Ben Adams. Ingebrigtsen is originally from Oslo, Norway, but the other members originate from London.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park or GWK, is a tourist destination and attraction located at Ungasan, Badung on the island of Bali, Indonesia about 10–15 minutes drive from Ngurah Rai International Airport. It is devoted to the Hindu god Vishnu, and his mount, Garuda, the mythical bird who became his companion. Owned and managed by Alam Sutera Realty, Tbk, the construction of the 120.9-metre statue of Vishnu riding his mount Garuda was completed in August 2018. The park has a land area of about 60 hectares and is 263 metres above sea level.

Alexander Igoryevich Rybak, or in Belarusian Alyaxandr Iharavich Rybak, is a Belarusian-Norwegian singer-composer, violinist, pianist and actor. Representing Norway in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest in Moscow, Russia, Rybak won the contest with 387 points—the highest tally any country has achieved in the history of Eurovision under the old voting system—with "Fairytale", a song he wrote and composed. His debut album, Fairytales, charted in the top 20 in nine European countries, including a No. 1 position in Norway and Russia. Rybak made a return to Eurovision in 2012 and 2016, playing the violin during both interval acts. He represented Norway again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song "That's How You Write a Song".

2009 Indonesian presidential election

Presidential elections were held in Indonesia on 8 July 2009. The elections returned a president and vice president for the 2009–2014 period. Incumbent President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, elected with a 20% margin in the 2004 election, sought a second term against former President Megawati Sukarnoputri in a rematch of the 2004 election, as well as incumbent Vice President Jusuf Kalla. Securing a majority of the votes in a landslide victory in the first round, Yudhoyono was re-elected without the need to proceed to a second round, scheduled to be held on 8 September if no candidate received a majority of the popular vote. Yudhoyono was officially declared the victor of the election on 23 July 2009, by the General Election Commission (KPU). At the time of his re-election victory, Yudhoyono, with nearly 74 million votes in his favour, held the record for the highest number of votes for a single person in any democratic election in history. His record was surpassed by his successor Joko Widodo who won 85 million votes in 2019.

"Take On Me" is a song by Norwegian synthpop band A-ha, first released in 1984. The original version was produced by Tony Mansfield, and remixed by John Ratcliff. A new version was produced by Alan Tarney for the group's debut studio album Hunting High and Low (1985). The song combines synthpop with a varied instrumentation that includes acoustic guitars, keyboards and drums.

The Night Comes for Us is a 2018 Indonesian action thriller film written and directed by Timo Tjahjanto. It was originally conceived as a screenplay and then adapted into a graphic novel, before finally being released as a film. In December 2014, Tjahjanto confirmed he was working with Indonesian artist hub Glitch Network to adapt his original screenplay into comic form. The film stars Iko Uwais, Joe Taslim, Julie Estelle, Sunny Pang, Zack Lee and Shareefa Daanish.

2015 Surabaya mayoral election

Leftovers, also known as Turah, is a 2016 Indonesian drama film directed by Wicaksono Wisnu Legowo. It was selected as the Indonesian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 90th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated.

The 2017–18 Indonesian Basketball League is the third season of the Starting5 as a promoter of the league. The second foreign player draft was held on October 2, 2017. The regular season will begin on December 8, 2017 and end on February 25, 2018. The All-Star break will be on January 7, 2018 and will be held in Jakarta.

Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue is a 122-meter tall statue located in Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, Bali, Indonesia. It was designed by Nyoman Nuarta and inaugurated in September 2018. The total height of the monument, including the 46-meter base pedestal is 122 m (400 ft). The statue is about 30 m (98 ft) higher than the Statue of Liberty, but Liberty is tall and thin, while Garuda is almost as wide as it is high — its wingspan is 64 m (210 ft). The statue was designed to be the Indonesia’s tallest statue, that was inspired by a Hindu about the search for Amrita. According to this myth, Garuda agreed to be ridden by Vishnu in return for the right to use the elixir to liberate his enslaved mother. The monument was completed on 31 July 2018 and inaugurated by Indonesian President Joko Widodo on 22 September, 2018.
