Wonder Raps is a British educational children's television series, broadcast on Sky and streaming platforms. Presented by MC Grammar, he is a teacher who uses educational rap to teach children.

Contents

Each animated episode is 5 minutes long, with each featuring a different educational rap about a given topic. [1] Topics in the first season included volcanoes and how to save the planet. The premise of the show is to teach children in a fun way about topics that some children would struggle to focus on. [2]

Background

In 2019, Jacob Mitchell from the London Borough of Barnet began to use social media to post educational raps. [3] This began when he posted a video rapping The Gruffalo to his daughter. [4] Mitchell began to use the performing name "MC Grammar," featuring on numerous TV and radio shows, including The Ellen Show. [5]

Broadcast

In October 2021, it was announced that Sky Kids would air the first season of the show. [5]

Kel Johari Rice Mitchell is an American actor and comedian. He was an original cast member of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That for its first five seasons (1994–1999), where he was often paired with Kenan Thompson. His role as Ed in the All That sketch was reprised for the 1997 teen comedy film loosely based on the series, Good Burger. He co-starred with Thompson on the Nickelodeon sitcom Kenan & Kel from 1996 to 2000. Mitchell received two Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program for his role as "T-Bone" in the children's animated series Clifford the Big Red Dog (2000–2003). The Loud House is an American animated television series created by Chris Savino that premiered on Nickelodeon on May 2, 2016. The series revolves around the chaotic everyday life of a boy named Lincoln Loud, who is the middle child and only son in a large family of 11 children. It is set in a fictional town in southeastern Michigan called Royal Woods, based on Savino's hometown of Royal Oak. Cocomelon is an American YouTube channel owned by the British company Moonbug Entertainment and maintained by the American company Treasure Studio. Cocomelon specializes in 3D animation videos of both traditional nursery rhymes and their own original children's songs.

RTÉ's Home School Hub, or simply Home School Hub, and its companion show Home School Extra, was an educational television programme which was created in response to the closure of all schools during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Ireland in 2020. Announced on 21 March, it began broadcasting on RTÉ2 on 30 March, aimed at children attending 1st–6th class of primary school. The first series ended on 19 June. A new series After School Hub began on 11 October, broadcasting in the afternoon to cater for children whose parents are working from home. The series finished on 19 March 2021.
