Iran national football team represents Iran in international football and is controlled by the Iran Football Federation. Between December 2014 until May 2018, it was the highest-ranked team in Asia, the longest continuous period of time that a team has held that distinction.

The South Korea national football team represents South Korea in men's international football and is governed by the Korea Football Association. Despite initially going through five World Cup tournaments without winning a match, South Korea became the only Asian team to reach the semi-final stages when they co-hosted the 2002 tournament with Japan. South Korea also won two AFC Asian Cup titles, and finished as runners-up on four occasions. Furthermore, the team won three gold medals and three silver medals at the senior Asian Games. The team is commonly nicknamed the "Reds" by both fans and the media due to the color of their primary kit. The national team's supporting group is officially referred to as the Red Devils.
The Hong Kong Football Association Limited, often abbreviated to the HKFA, is the governing body of association football in Hong Kong. Its current chairman is Pui Kwan Kay and its Chief Executive Officer is Paul Woodland.

Hong Kong has qualified for the EAFF E-1 Football Championship five times in 1995, 1998, 2003, 2010 and 2019.
The Chinese Taipei national football team represents Taiwan in international football and is controlled by the Chinese Taipei Football Association, the governing body for football in Taiwan.
The AFC Women's Asian Cup is a quadrennial competition in women's football for national teams which belong to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It is the premier women's football competition in the AFC region for national teams. The competition is also known as the Asian Women's Football Championship and the Asian Women's Championship. 19 tournaments have been held, with the current champions being Japan. The competition also serves as a qualifying tournament for the FIFA Women's World Cup.
The Japan women's national football team, or nicknamed Nadeshiko Japan (なでしこジャパン), represents Japan in women's association football and is run by the Japan Football Association (JFA). It is the most successful women's national team from the Asian Football Confederation. Its highest ranking in the FIFA Women's World Rankings is 3rd, achieved in December 2011.
The India women's national football team is controlled by the All India Football Federation and represents India in women's international football competitions. The women's team resumed playing on 7 September 2012 after nearly a year-long hiatus. Under the global jurisdiction of FIFA and governed in Asia by the AFC, the team is also part of the South Asian Football Federation. The team was one of the best teams in Asia in the mid 70s to early 80s, when they became runners-up at 1979 and 1983 AFC Women's Asian Cup. Presently, the Indian team has won all the SAFF Women's Championship that they have participated in since 2010.

Currently a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) the team can compete in three competitions: the Olympic Games, the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, and the Asian Games.

Tang Hoi Man is a Hongkonger former footballer who played as a forward. She has been a member of the Hong Kong women's national team.
Wong Shuk Fan is a Hongkonger footballer who plays as a midfielder. She is also a futsal player, and represented Hong Kong internationally in both football and futsal.
