Wooly Mammoth was an American stoner metal band from Washington, D.C., United States.
Wooly Mammoth was formed in Washington, D.C. in October 2000 by guitarist/singer/songwriter Zac Eller (formerly of hardcore/punk bands Worlds Collide and Bluetip). They released their first EP, Ten Ton Baby in 2002. They made a name for themselves in their hometown of Washington, D.C. as the heaviest and loudest band in the city and received quite a bit of local and international press, including the Washington Post's reference to their "intergenerational tough peoples music" and the UK's Metal Hammer exclaiming "At times, this Washington, D.C. trio are so inspired, their music becomes the centre of the universe." They toured the mid-atlantic/midwest region extensively and made an appearance at the Emissions From The Monolith festival in Youngstown, Ohio. Back home the band recorded two songs "The Prophet" and "Mastercut And Charisma" for their 2004 split release with The Hidden Hand. [1] They recorded their debut album, The Temporary Nature, in 2006. It was produced by The Hidden Hand bassist Bruce Falkinburg. Hidden Hand guitarist Wino appears on the track "Mammoth Bones". In 2007 Kyle Connolly left the band and was replaced by Jason Daniloski, formerly of Meatjack. The new line up brought about a heavier more stripped down approach to the music and resulted in a slew of progressive new material that was never published. The band broke up in 2009.

Entombed is a Swedish death metal band formed in 1987 under the name of Nihilist. Entombed began their career as an early pioneer of Scandinavian death metal which initially differed from its American counterpart by its distinct "buzzsaw" guitar tone. However, by the early 1990s their sound had broadened to include garage rock and other influences. This new style would eventually be described as death 'n' roll. Entombed has been influenced by bands such as Slayer, Exodus, Black Sabbath, Celtic Frost, Autopsy, Repulsion, Kiss, The Misfits, Motörhead, Discharge, Death and Testament. Along with Dismember, Grave and Unleashed, Entombed has been referred to as one of the "big four" of Swedish death metal.
Snot is an American nu metal band from Santa Barbara, California. Formed in 1995, the band released their only studio album Get Some with founding vocalist Lynn Strait in 1997 and disbanded after his death in 1998. In 2008, the lineup of lead guitarist Mikey Doling, bassist John Fahnestock, drummer Jamie Miller and rhythm guitarist Sonny Mayo reunited. In 2009, a new band, Tons, was formed, with Brandon Espinoza as vocalist. As of February 2014, Snot has reformed again.
Living Sacrifice is an American Christian metal band formed in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1989. The band has released eight studio albums, out of which the first three were recorded under R.E.X. Records with their original vocalist Darren Johnson as a more thrash metal and death metal oriented band. The band evolved into a groove metal and metalcore style beginning with Reborn (1997) under Solid State Records with the original guitarist Bruce Fitzhugh on vocals. In 2003, the group disbanded due to other projects and later their label, Solid State, released their best-of album, In Memoriam (2005). In 2008, Living Sacrifice reformed and released a two-song digital only single called Death Machine. They then began working on The Infinite Order which was released on January 26, 2010. Lance Garvin and Bruce Fitzhugh are the two remaining original members.
The Orange County Supertones were a Christian ska band from Orange County, California. The band was signed to Tooth & Nail Records and its imprint, BEC Recordings, before becoming an independent band. The band temporarily disbanded in 2005, though reunited in 2010 to resume touring and recording before permanently disbanding in 2017. The OC Supertones were one of the first widely successful Christian ska bands.
